Good news: Mine is out for delivery.

Bad news: Adonit uses UPS (if you buy it on Amazon) and they are very slow and always leave packages on porches. I'm getting it delivered to an office. We close in 45 minutes. UPS says it will be delivered by 8pm, despite my specific instructions that this is a commercial office.

Wonder how long it will sit on the porch before it gets stolen.

Idiots.

Might be worth checking back by 8pm to see if it's there. If the office is closed maybe they won't leave...then you can request pickup.

Hi guys!

I just want to tell you that I made a new video, this time about the Cregle Ink. It's not as good as the Jot Script but it does have some advantages.

I hope you like it!

I ordered the Jot Script today and it should arrive tomorrow. I'll let you know what I think after I give it a try.

----------

I find Goodnotes to have the best palm rejection.

I don't see anything saying that Goodnotes has palm rejection.

EDIT: Actually, after checking the website I do see that it has palm rejection. So how do apps that have palm rejection and connect to the Script via bluetooth differ from those with palm rejection but don't connect to the Script?

Currently Goodnotes only uses it's built in palm rejection, which as I say, is very good (in the Truglide Apex thread you can see an example of me writing full screen with the Jot Touch and Jot Script - there is maybe 1-2 stray dots from my palm, that's it). The developer says that he is planning on integrating the Adonit palm rejection in the future which should make it even better because the program should have more information about which marks are coming from the stylus and which from your palm.

Well done as always!

That stylus certainly appears to be a dead copy of the Truglide Apex. Anyone know what the story is?

The pen clip is a nice feature, but a number of us have requested such an accessory for the Script and Adonit is looking into it. One of the best things about the Script in my opinion is the tip that feels a lot like a real pen. You'd have to be really sensitive to the sound to give up that feel and better precision for a little noise. The choice of a AAAA battery and no auto-off is a big deal as well - the Script went 5 weeks for me on the first battery and you can find a replacement anywhere.

Is Goodnotes 4 worth getting?

Do you have Goodnotes 3?

What do you want in a writing/drawing app?

I think it's the best writing app out there and very good at acting like a 'smart' piece of paper. If you want lots of features, look elsewhere.

I just want a handwriting app that has great palm rejection, let's me have "lined paper" that also works in landscape mode, and if possible with either let me import and mark up PDF's or at the least let me export to a more full-featured note taking app such as iAnnotate.

BTW, I ordered the Script around lunch time yesterday and it arrived about 9:45 this morning! So far I've tried Penultimate and the free version of Zoomnotes. Penultimate doesn't rotate the paper like Zoomnotes does and when I tried to load a PDF into it I only got the first page. So now I'm looking for something else. Do you guys have any experience with Noteshelf?

I have note shelf but haven't found a place for it. It's strength is a decent interface and pretty good inking. I find the palm rejection not great though, and so haven't used it extensively. I find zoom notes to have a really clunky interface.

I really suggest trying Goodnotes. It does everything you want. Try the Script both paired and unpaired with the app I personally find less offset without pairing so this is how I usually use it.

Noteshelf is my main app (iPad3). I'm using the Lynktec Trueglide Pro, a dumb stylus. Many apps offer a sort of cover that you can pull up and down, where you can rest your hand. Noteshelf has a slider that automatically moves down while you write line after line. Personally I think it's quite cool.
On the other hand, chances are you'll end up using the zoom box to write, at which point the palm rest becomes somewhat obsolete.
The Noteshelf zoombox allows a 1.5 factor as minimum, while others start at 2. I don't like bigger (Notability), because then I feel more like drawing shapes instead of writing letters.
Noteshelf has a fantastic inking IMHO, much better than Notability and Goodnotes. It makes my handwriting look good.
BTW there's a free version - download it!

So Goodnotes does have the ability to pair to the Script?

It does, but it has not fully integrated the sdk yet so there is no palm rejection via Bluetooth and I find the offset to be larger when paired, so as right now there isn't really a downside to using it unpaired. Still works great.

I cannot find a free version of Noteshelf. Can you provide a link?

So what do you mean by offset? Does the text not show up where the stylus is actually making contact with the screen?

Whoops, seems to have gone up in smoke - I did install it only a few weeks ago.
I've asked the dev about it and in the meantime sorry for the useless information.
Questions about the app, ask away.

-edit-
The dev seems to have technical issues with the free version. It will be available again soon...

-edit2-
The Noteshelf free version is available again.

Just got mine from Amazon. Was just using it in a meeting via Notability. Really impressed with how well it works as compared to my Jot Flip. So far so good. Talk to me in a week :)

Care to provide an update? Any issues with noise? Any offset issues in Notability? Thank you in advance!

I use it every day. Love it. Offset? Not that I've noticed, but I usually zoom to write. Also, there is the sound of the pen tapping the iPad, but nothing that bothers me personally. Again, I love it. I use it to take notes, make notes on existing pdfs, etc.

Sorry, I can only comment on the iPad and Jot Script. I do not own a Galaxy Note or Jot Pro. That said, I have used the Galaxy Tab and did not like it in comparison to an iPad.

see this video
i think this stylus awesome for note taking even better than jot scripts

what's your idea?

No telling until it sees some use. I'm not quite sure what the big deal about it not being bluetooth is - bluetooth is never required - the Jot Script works fine without a bluetooth connection, but having it gives the stylus a lot more options - options for shortcut buttons, options for better palm rejection, options to improve precision through software, etc.

This stylus also uses a AAAA battery which would be a near deal-breaker for me. I don't want to have to keep a supply of specialized batteries for my stylus.

Well I did finally receive the Jot Script after having to buy it on Craigslist because of Amazon's stupid delivery mistake (Yes, it got stolen).

If anyone else wants to give it a try, I'm going to post it in the marketplace. :p
