Oh, thanks! I thought AeroBrowser evolved into Flare.

My misunderstanding!

What's the content that you are working on that prevents you from releasing it?

Images etc. from an internal Windows Vista build, which are essential for the fun :p

OK, done a bit of work on this so it's all ready for release now. Here's a pic of the current build. Very early alpha stages still, but good enough to give out publicly. This app requires Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger" and for optimal performance use a Quartz 2D Extreme compatible graphics card.

Vista skin is not 100% accurate, and has been edited slightly to conform to the way OS X works (resize from the bottom-right corner only).

wow that skin is nearly unusable. Wonder how Vista is gonna pull it off.

There are two problems with it, and Vista actually fixes both and I can't find a way of doing them in OS X.

Firstly, the clicks are going through the window (at the most transparent areas) - I can't figure out how to stop that.

Secondly, when it's on top of other windows it's impossible to read things - Vista fixes that by blurring what shows through (which actually really works well) - but I can't do that on OS X either (CoreImage only works on images/videos, not on transparency to blur the desktop).

Also, one thing I'd like is for the close/min/max buttons to light up like in Vista (and glow).

Oh cool, new browser!

So Flare is......what? Sorry, but I kinda missed the point.

I'll try AeroBrowser when I get home. :) Can you make the browser window transluecent?

Flare and AeroBrowser are two separate things - Flare is a useable browser at the moment whilst AeroBrowser is more of a tech demo.

AeroBrowser looks like Longhorn (Vista :p), Flare is a nice proper OS X app.
