Mine doesn't do it very well at all. It works, sort of, but only just.

Mine works pretty well. My only issue is how to carry it in the summer months and still many apps (eBay, PayPal, banks etc) look so bad on it. The app thing really has ruined the enjoyment of the device for me. Others may not be bothered by it.

Very true. Ebay has had two updates since iOS8 was released and yet still it doesn't cater for the i6/6+ screen resolution.

I'm not bored at all with my 6 plus. I upgraded right from the 5s, and I'll probably skip a generation and go right to the 7, maybe even 7s.

I feel like it's going to take a while for iOS and developers to fully embrace the size. I find myself using the phone more in landscape mode, but very little apps have a landscape mode.

I also find myself using my iPhone over my laptop a lot more because of the size.

Not bored but sick. Sick of the bugs, especially landscape ones. Sick of lack of split-screen landscape apps and landscape apps in general (YouTube, Netflix). Sick of all the potential of the 6+ not being utilized by developers, Apple, and even its users, about 80-90% insisting on using it in portrait mode.

I got bored after a while, the phone itself is great, beautiful design, build quality, screen, camera etc all fantastic.

However IOS for me is that same operator system I left behind after the iPhone 4. Still just a wall of apps and nothing else. I was still restricted and even though the screen was so big and beautiful, apple didn't do enough in terms of software to make actually use of it.

I'm now on the note 4 and I'm loving it, has a beautiful screen, build quality is really good, touchwizz seems go have improved greatly and its butter smooth on my device. And best of all the operating system takes advantage of the big screen!!

Well, it's not the same end result actually. In one case the attachment is downloaded as part of the email and is there as part of it in the future. In the other case either initially or later you need to separately go somewhere else to access it and explicitly save it if you want to have a local copy for future use.
So which part of that means the recipient wasn't able to get the file after receiving an email about it? ;)

The part where it's not the same. As in if the recipient gets the email with the attachment then it's there for the recipient to use as part of the email even later on when there might not be a data connection vs the part where it's not actually part of the email and needs to be downloaded separately and saved separately. Just like you can get somewhere by driving as well as by taking public transportation--even though you got to the same place in the end it's still not the same process which makes a difference. ;)

The only thing I might change about my 6 plus is that it's space grey and not gold or silver. However space grey isn't bad and I'd prefer to have a 128GB space grey phone than a 64GB silver phone which I originally had.

Sometimes I wonder if Samsung comes here and posts them to try and plant the seeds of doubt in people's minds

I was so excited to get the 6plus, but after a few months with it, I've grown quite tired of it. Not the size, but the lack of things I can do WITH that size.

I've been thinking, and the only reason I have an iPhone is because I have a Macbook and iPad. Certainly not a good reason to keep paying a company for a phone you're not completely happy with.

I'm wondering if anyone has made the switch to Android (unlikely, seeing as the phone has only been out 6 months), or if anyone is similarly underwhelmed and thinking about switching. If you have switched or are considering it, which device are your eyes on?

I switched to an LG G3. I lasted 6 months before I payed a significant amount of coin to the evil empire (AT&T) to get out of it and back on an iPhone.

Different strokes for different folks.

But I found NOTHING I could do on a droid that I can't do on an iPhone. Not saying there aren't things that I could do on a droid only, but only that I didn't find anything of real significance.

Of course, I don't consider my self a "power" user either. However, there were just too many little things I missed about the iPhone to be honest. One example would be what I can do with my phone while it is locked. On iPhone, I can do a ton of stuff with control center. On a Droid? You can get to your camera and that is about it. I also missed the silent switch big time. Going in to a meeting was like 7 taps/swipes just to mute the G3.

Also, there isn't a person alive that is going to convince me that an LG G3 was smoother than an iPhone. Sorry, but it simply isn't and it is very noticable.

Differenr strokes eh. I have never once accessed anything from the lock screen, not even my camera. I never use the mute switch either, why would I want to make it rattle even more lol.
Smoothness is subjective. My 6+ is the least smooth iPhone I've ever owned, but it is smoother than my Android tablet. Then again, that thing doesn't reload tabs or have spinning data wheels etc. There is no such thing as the perfect phone, it all depends what your priorities are I guess.

I use assistive touch and hit mute from there, and I use an Android widget to mute my tablet from the pull down screen.

Never used assistive touch.

Can you get to that from a pin protected lock screen?

I have to have my phone pin locked due to being in a healthcare field due to patient data laws.

Yes, it floats whenever the screen is illuminated. I can mute, increase/decrease system volume and take screen dumps etc with it. I've been using assistive touch since iOS6 came out.

Ah, so it's only better if the recipient will need to download the file again later, as opposed to a one-off download-and-save-locally scenario? That makes sense for such situations.

I've definitely got bored with it. I love looking at it though, and the design is amazing... Apps frequently crash on mine, and I get lag here and there. I'm ready for split screen multitasking.

<- a reswitcher

If you switch to Android, first thing you do all the cool stuff you can't do with the iOS homescreen... and after 3-4 months you get bored again ;-) Trust me, in the end it only matters what you do with your device.. most of the time you use apps anyway. It's just a matter of preference whether you use iOS or Android (or WP).

After about 2 years in the Android world I'm back at my "boring old" iOS homescreen, and you know what? I don't care at all.

Those of you saying that 1GB is fine, you guys not allowed to upgrade to 2GB ok?.... when the 6S Plus comes out. Put your money where your mouth is and don't upgrade to the 6S Plus. Then while the rest of us are enjoying 2GB spaciousness, you can still be happy with 1GB, win win!

And then when the 7 comes out with 4GB, stick with the 6 Plus cos 1GB is plenty

Being fine with something doesn't mean that you are against it being better (in the future let's say).

I went the other way after my 5S screen was destroyed (word to the wise: don't ever go on The Mummy ride or similar g-force warping rides with your phone in your pocket). I wanted a large screen device so given samsung's history with decent phablets, I got myself a Note 4 which had just come out last October.

Initial impressions were very positive. I loved the large screen and large feel for grip in my hand, compared to a 4" screen. But I found myself customizing the home screen and other things to match iOS over time. I've been using iphones since 2009 and am used to the way they work. That's just my case though. Also I found the UI and UX to be a little bit clunky in android, compared to iOS. I can see and appreciate it's come a long way since early android, but it doesnt match iOS.

So in February this year, I sold the Note 4 and got myself a 6+. Best of both worlds in terms of UI/UX and size. The battery life just blows me away. Couldn't be happier.
