Apple's privacy policies are awesome, no doubt about it. But the phrasing of that billboard seems to suggest that Apple recommends people look at sketchy stuff on their phones. Not cool!
The government regularly subpoenas Apple and gets information off of iCloud, which isn't encrypted. So they can basically get your entire phone's contents.
EDIT- According to Apple, not even they can get the information. I am curious if this is really true.
Secret questions are Apple's fault. I was able to reset my iCloud password with only security questions back then, though idk if that was used in the Fappening. They've since fixed that.Weak passwords and idiotic secret questions aren’t an Apple failure. It’s also not hacking.

Or encrypted with a key Apple has anyway. The idea is that the servers aren’t encrypted but the contents held in the server are.
I agree. I trust Apple the most with privacy, but their ad is super misleading.Kind of a dumb statement if you ask me. Emails, text messages , Facebook posts, google searches , etc..... don’t stay on your iPhone.
More like the kid that doesn’t get invited to parties because he has an open invitation to EVERY party. If they aren't going to be there, why the ad? It's like that kid that didn't get invited to the party.
Or encrypted with a key Apple has anyway.
But as others have said... iCloud wasn't hacked.
Yes because they say so in their privacy policy here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202303Are we sure about that or just assuming?

A select few things are encrypted end-to-end. What worries me is you can reset your iCloud password and still access iMessage, so they must have a way in if they really want to take it.
Do they need someone to be wherever they put an ad up? What a ridiculous statement.
I wish more people cared about the serious lengths Apple takes to protect user privacy as opposed to certain other companies.
Yeah unless iCloud gets hacked...

Remember that time Apple let Uber take unauthorized screenshots on iPhones?
