i hope that the generated radio stations improve. I do not know why my radio station based off of "Batdance" includes music from Pink Floyd's "The Wall". It kills the mood.

No, no, no, Apple. I just want what Spotify does best - to list all the latest releases from artists in my library.
OR just a playlist to list releases from my avourite artists

I don't need an AI DJ.

”Let’s make an ”AI” function for all the easy **** no one cares about and get the focus off that we have absolutely nothing for the stuff that matters.”

Federighi of whoever is/was AI cheif at Apple should have been fired years ago.

What I wish someone would implement is tags. I'd love to be able to tag a track driving or focus or upbeat or rainy day and be able build playlists based on that.

Playlists are basically folders, and Gmail has shown us how much more powerful (and easy) it can be to just apply multiple tags to an email.

Everything at Apple seems to be "in the works" these days. Is anything happening now? Soon??
To be fair, you're reading a rumors website. So everything on here is "in the works" or "possible". Apple themselves announced all this Apple Intelligence stuff and didn't deliver, so that's on them. But there's also tons of stuff that gets reported on sites like this that Apple hasn't actually said they'd do.

100% this. I'm still dealing with an ages old bug where the app sometimes relaunches itself after quitting. And a bug where search returns zero results. And a bug where pushing 'play' sometimes does nothing.
Agree on the Mac app. Sometimes clicking play in a row-wise list of songs isn’t even activating the target track. I have to click the song above or below. It is a crappy mess.

Be nice if they fixed the skip/lag that happens when you play a lossless song in CarPlay. And a dozen other bugs. And for Apple Classical to not be a sort of weird 'web view' of Apple Music, and for the Mac application to actually be good.

This AI reboot is going to be an another browser-skin over the top of Apple Music isn't it?

Hey Apple Music, play something popular in the genre of the music of Freddie Mercury.

‘Sure, here’s what I found on the web……(plays Franz List Hungarian Rhapsody #2)’

I want an actual strong-AI assistant. Not some AI gadgets, Memoji crap, music recommenders, filters, whatever. Focus. On. The. Assistant. And not just one that can maybe sometimes hand off to a real AI.

I suspect as Apple photos misidentifies cows as horses regularly I will be inundated with classical music every time I want black metal.

...And where on earth is continuity for Apple Music? Why can’t I start listening to a playlist or song on my Mac and then automatically continue via my phone or watch, or vice versa. I just don’t get how this isn’t a thing.
That shows up for me under Home > Recently Played. But I do think it needs to be handled better since it doesn't reflect the actual song, just the album or playlist.

Done right, there's a ton of potential to this.

Using AI to get recommendations on songs that have the same atmosphere or BPM as the one you're currently listening to, for example, could open up whole new avenues of music discovery and playlist creation

Spot-on. Looking forward to seeing what Apple comes up with.

How about making a Music app that isn't done by absolute morons? I didn't even finish my free trial of Apple Music because I hated the macOS Music app so much a couple of years ago.

I have noticed that the struggle with recommendations is simply too diverse music sometimes. However, I asked ChatGPT to give me songs that had similar sounds to a song I liked and was really impressed with the recommendations. A few I knew about and whole artists I just discovered. The song recommendations were really deep and not just pop radio stuff (which is what the current recommendations seem to heavily prefer). So I actually have hope that AI can give better recommendations maybe not for the whole library but for specific songs or sub genres.
