Here's an idea Apple Music… How about you fix the problems with your handling of Spatial Audio?!?

1. There's no way (that I know of) to search specifically for Spatial Audio content. Even the iTunes SDK won't let you search for Spatial Audio programmatically.

2. Fix the bug I reported to you years ago: When you add a Spatial Audio track to a playlist but you already have a older version of the track in your library, the non-Spatial Audio track gets added to the playlist. The workaround is to delete the track from your library and the add the Spatial Audio track to the playlist. You will then get the Spatial Audio version of the track in your playlist. Annoying as hell.

Oh my god really? Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah, it's super depressing to me.

With iTunes, I was able to perfectly sync my offline library between multiple Macs (even playlists ... all of it, perfectly).

I've had to give up on that with Apple Music.

No thanks. I'd rather make my own playlists and listen to exactly what I want rather than anyone/anything decide for me.

This is the exact opposite of my experience.
Fair enough - your mileage may vary as they say.

I'd describe my taste as being 'eclectic' where I like all sort of rock and all sort of electronica, so perhaps I'm an edge case, where it's difficult to tell what exactly I'm into.

I've observed with AM that if you are into a one genre and a pretty mainstream genre (not saying that you are), it tends to be pretty good at recommendations.

Do you use iTunes Match? I ditched Apple Music long ago and use that instead. I do have another Mac running Sequoia and all my music shows up in the Music app no problem

NO WAY

Match screwed up some of my library many moons ago and I will never touch it again.

(replaced a bunch of unique versions of files I had .... took me years to fix it and some of it was totally lost)

100% this. I'm still dealing with an ages old bug where the app sometimes relaunches itself after quitting. And a bug where search returns zero results. And a bug where pushing 'play' sometimes does nothing.
I literally don't have any of those bugs, it must just be you.

I feel like you can just substitute any aspect of Apple's ecosystem and claim it's getting an "AI reboot": "Pages getting an AI reboot", "Watch getting an AI reboot", "iCloud getting an AI reboot". It's an all-purpose promise of the future. Whether it actually delivers something meaningful and useful remains to be seen.

Personally, what I'm waiting for w/r/t Music is a revamped app that feels less like a clunky iTunes reskin and Apple Music Classical brought to the Mac. That would make an actual difference to me, more of a difference than AI fluff.

I agree. Also, though most of my library is purchased from iTunes, I have rips of CDs and other files (even from an ancient cassette that’s no longer in print) that I can’t add to my library on my iPad because Apple doesn’t allow importing music files that way. There’s no way that I’m going to trust iTunes Match with these rarities!

Any "AI" idea coming out of Apple is destined to be a joke. Maybe the AI team should figure out how to get it to properly do something simple, like set a timer without asking if I'd like to search "How to set a timer" on Google.

Hope it's a typo. They need to overhaul the UI.

The "Sleeve" app is what Miniplayer should be.

Highly customizable, unobtrusive widget. I like the skeumorphism, too, but Apple would never go for it.

It wasn’t even a compelling product given how many existing chargers there are 🤷‍♂️
It was compelling because none of those there chargers were a place anywhere pad which supported multiple devices on the same pad. That being said, Apple soon moved over to magnets for alignment so it really didn't fit with their plan.
