Hello guys...

I too just recently got my rMini. I found it a bit laggy though most reviews say it's a very responsive device. In particular, when loading app store, safari scroll up down (sometimes), etc.

I tried that marca link, it crashed my rMini 3x, and have not abled to load.

Here's there interesting part!!
My original iPad1 with iOS 5.1.1 can actually load that darn page. Well, I don't think it's as nice as what iOS 6x or iOS 7x can load (I can see mostly pictures only). But at least it never crashed!
And for those who still have original iPad1, you know that thing is a crash monster with only 256MB RAM!!

I'm posting this from my iPad1, so I dunno how to attach a screenshot on iPad (do I have to transfer the photo to PC first then post this?)

3 yrs of advancement, I believe the hw is better in every aspect. So, I'm more inclined to blaming this on iOS 7.0.4 that I have onmy rMini.

can someone give this living social site a try, it crash my air everytime

https://www.livingsocial.com/cities...cj&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_campaign=3160356

just scroll down n up for few secs

Why are people complaining that scam sites crash? When I clicked on the link on desktop Safari, I got multiple redirects through all kinds of tracking websites, then the page loaded with a non-dismissable in-page popup which forces me to sign for membership without even the choice to opt out? WTF?!

BTW, are you benefiting in any way from this link? (which has these things in its url: utm_medium=affiliates&utm_campaign=3160356 and ref=XUA0000COMJ000000000000ENUS0000000000000021052012)

I understand that the site has some value for you, but that's not an excuse for sloppily coded site with an amount of tracking NSA could be envious of. :D It's a good thing that it crashes - users will stop using it and the site owners will get what they deserve.

I have to agree. If a majority of the safari crashes are because of sites like this..... Boy does that change things!

In this day and age of web development tools and even pre-canned solutions there is no reason for a crappy website. Period.

The first two crashed on me while loading or scrolling. That kind of behavior happens to me at least twice a day. The last two did not crash.

Try pinch to zoom up on an image or turn your ipad in landscape mode. You will see that the last two websites will crash safari and chrome as well.
Error log is just the same: low memory...

I just tried pinch to zoom, and the last two sites crashed. And you are right. All are low memory crashes. I now have over 20 low memory crashes logged, along with a few iTunes Store etc.

Ok, now the scary part, this is happening with every ipad air i had the chance to try. It is not and isolated issue and it also happens randomly on sites like YouTube and Facebook.

I've been able to make nin.com crash on every iOS device I've encountered. iPhone 4S, iPad 3, iPad Air, iPhone 5.

Some of devices aren't mine so I can't test the rest of the sites.

Some devices require a bit more work on my end, pinching and zooming and such but they crash.

I really hope this is just an ios 7 issue misusing the ram memory. I don't feel comfortable with the idea of a brand new obsolete U$600 tablet... but let's be honest... 1gb doesn't seem to be enough ram to deal with ipad air high specs like A7 chip... an unnecessary U$10~20 saving...

ok guys,

now try theses websites, safari and google chrome crash with a pinch to zoom or some scrolling:

www.nin.com

http://9to5mac.com/2013/11/08/a-week-with-the-ipad-air-in-three-words-believe-the-hype/

www.lonelyplanet.com

www.espn.com.br

and the list goes on... with A LOT of websites and low memory crashes...

I only tried the NIN one, and it worked with full audio on puffin web browser.

Granted that's cheating, but if all you want is for it to work on an iOS device, you may want to use the flash enabled, streaming browsers in the App Store...

Crashed my Air as well. This sucks!

Ok, now the scary part, this is happening with every ipad air i had the chance to try. It is not and isolated issue and it also happens randomly on sites like YouTube and Facebook.

Now tried it on 5 Ipad Airs.... Every one crashed! Including 2 at Bestbuy.

----------

I tested it with Safari, Chrome and Mercury Browser on retina mini which I just got this evening. It crashes if you have at least one more tab open on all of them. Based on the diagnostics, it looks like it crashes because of low memory. The reason it shows for crashing is per process limit.

* * MobileSafari <e7a0a9831f8c3339a9425f56f51e5005> * * * 179721 * * * * * 179721* 200* [per-process-limit] (frontmost) (resume)

So it seems like there is a limitation on amount of memory each app is using. It doesn't fail if there isn't any other tab open.

Mine fails with no other tabs open and no other apps running behind the scenes.

You can crash the crash happy ios 7 easily.

- double tap (real fast) on the Brightness and Wallpaper button in settings.

- visit any onswipe site. For example Towleroad (warning: gay news site)

It did not crash on my macbook air, but I felt the need to use cccleaner 10 times afterwards.
I hate those site with popups that have no exit and if you choose a location without entering it and closing the browser window, It uses that location next visit. I guess it served me right for clicking mystery links on a web forum.
