These will probably last longer than the thin PU-leather variants. The pads on my $700 Oppo-PM2 don’t usually last very long and cost $39 to replace.Did some googling seems like these ear cups use polyester, shame. Once I walked into a high end store and asked if something was polyester, since I am allergic, and they said we don't use any synthetic materials. If we are to believe apple is high end it's a bit disappointing.
The fact that they’re so easily replaceable doesn’t give me much confidence in how they’ll hold up over time.
As long as they sound better than they look I don't care. It’s fair to say Jony Ive has most certainly left the building. These are ugly as!
But..but...Apple invented magnets yo!Loads of other brands have replaceable cups - B&W use magents to replace them too
Here it is! My buddy just threw it into pixelmator pro and mocked it up.The more I think about it.. the more I think Space Gray with the blue pads would be the perfect combo. Can you mock that up, or point me to where you got that image?

Agreed, however, Bose doesn't charge $70 for the ear cushion kit....!Hoping that other headphone makers (Bose, Sony) follow suite. For my QCs I've needed to replace the cushions every 2 years (I wear them all day while working). Replacing Bose earpads is a faff. Easily replaceable earpads are a huge win.
Yes.Attach magnetically??? Wow! Still think they are overpriced, complainers???
