Really only looking to upgrade if the sound quality had a pretty decent uptick, still looking for something more definitive but I haven’t gone through every single review yet

Don’t see any of the usual audiophile reviewers up there though

Mic quality of gen1's is so bad when on apps like Discord, probably due to bandwidth limitations. I really hope this has been fixed with the gen2's but so far no one has mentioned this.

I want to make a Youtube channel where I use low quality equipment, talk in monotone, show my unattractive face, don’t use any adjectives, especially adjectives that young people use, sit still, no background music, never ever make a still with my mouth open and pointing or anything similar.

I bet I'd make millions.

I find the mics on all APs are far too sensitive during phone calls, making relatively quiet noises, like running water from a faucet, amplified to the other person on the call. I’m srsly hoping 🤞🏼 adaptive transparency will do something to remedy that issue.

ditto. when my wife is using her AirPods during a call me, there are some noises (crinkling a bag or setting something not he counter for example) that are like shooting bolts of pain straight to my ear drum.

The wide range of charging capabilities is awesome. Use them mostly with your watch? Cool, both can charge on the same charger. Use them with your iPhone and only use MagSafe? Cool, you can charge on the same charger. Oh, you use lightning? Cool, same charger. You have a lighting cable or MagSafe charger and a watch charger at your desk or night stand? Cool, you can charge them at the same time.

I bought APP first gen on day one in 2019. The ANC was unbelievably strong such that the Apple store was completely silenced. They nerfed the ANC subsequently via the first few firmware updates. I am interested to see if it is comparable to that experience.

Always has been. That's why she blew up initially. Nothing wrong with it, I'm mostly that way myself, but that's what she is.
That and she is easy on eyes. Given YouTube algorithm I have wondered, in the most cynical way possible, why there is not a review channel that does all the reviews with girls in bikinis. YouTube is the clickbait site of the universe and it surprises me no one has just decided - screw it let’s go as low as possible.

But iJustine is likely richer than my wildest dreams so if someone said I could review stuff I already like and just be mostly pro I would take that job in a second. She found a niche that works for her so good for her.

It's worth noting that the Nothing Ear earbuds offer ANC as well as a volume control slide on the right stem (I wonder where Apple got the idea?). The sound quality is actually quite good, considering the cost was only about £90 on Amazon.

I am looking forward to getting the upgrade of the APP's 2. I hope they help with the music/talk radio in my local gym. No matter what ANC earbuds/headphones I am using (AirPods Pro and Max, Sony XM4's, and even Bone Conduction with very sturdy earplugs), I can still hear the treble range of the sound pumped through the gym's inadequate speakers. Anyone else have this problem? ANC seems great for eliminating mid and bass notes, but not the treble. I understand the possible danger of not hearing announcements for a fire or something, but surely it should be a choice?

"they sound superior and deliver the cleanest, most dynamic output of any AirPods to date."
"six hours and fifteen minutes of use with a mix of noise cancellation, transparency mode and calls.more than the previous generation (4.5 hours)"
And volume control on them (something that should be from the start)
Overall an overall very good upgrade
Check out the Nothing Ear earbuds. They've had a volume control on the right stem for a while now.

If people are going to rush out and buy these because (as Welch says) "they sound superior and deliver the cleanest, most dynamic output of any AirPods to date" I bet will be disappointed that they don't sound that much better. This sounds more like a paid advertisement. "any AirPods to date"? Even AirPods Max? Doubtful.

“Audio customized to the shape of your head”. What a bunch of… really???. Give us better audio resolution!. Use modern protocols not gimmicks!

Sound quality on the current APP are amazing. I’ll be holding off for a deal. But excited to see the improvements myself.
