Apple just slapping the word 'Pro' on Products now? It's the same exact H1 Chip in the previous model isnt it ? slight redesign and no substantial improvements when it comes to battery life .... Apple marketing is at it once again

same products, just better ads and monster marketing

As was mentioned above, 50+ times (there are 17 pages to this thread and counting), yes, their higher end devices are now seemingly all going to carry the “pro” label.

I’d love to see an Apple TV Pro, albeit that’s wishful thinking.

So "Pro" you can't even adjust the volume without the watch / phone!
You can use Hey, Siri to set the volume to some numerical value OR simply turn up or down. Question though, if you don’t have your phone or watch, what are you listening to?

Now you can with the force place. Just slide up on that to increase the volume, or slide down to decrease the volume. Tighten to activate NC and so on

Monster Marketting? where? i haven't seen even a single ad yet.

I dont worry about the name, if it fits my budget i'll buy, else wont. End of the story. Why would i (or anyone) want apple to name certain product certain way.

Apple doesn’t have to subsidize countries with high tariffs on imported goods (neither does any company). Moreover, the country you live in is such an incredibly small market that manufacturing there, the way Apple does with India, is not worth the start-up cost.

If you have family in the States or Canada, have them ship it to you. Otherwise, Miami is a great city. Lots of people from Latin America travel there once a year just for shopping.

I doubt Samsung or Asus subsidizes any countries either, but still their products are much cheaper then Apple’s, compared to the prices in the U.S. I do not know which kind of magic Samsung or Asus does, but Apple seems to be the odd one out.

I do frequently buy tech products abroad. The exception is the new Apple products with LTE support. For some reason, Apple dropped support for an LTE band widely used in Brazil from all its products sold in the U.S. (while keeping such support in products sold here in Brazil).

Definitely buying these. They look amazing.

Where Applie is great, they are simply extraordinary. The AirPod line is great example of this.

I think cordless ones look weird. My corded Panasonic $15 ones sound better than earbuds and earbuds 2 imo.

I’m going to wait to see the reviews before I purchase. If there is a recognisable difference in sound quality then I’m getting them.

Another subscriptions from Apple. Wireless airbuds expire in about two years (battery dies). So, that comes to about $10 per month. It’s like having to rent a DVR from the cable company.
Batteries don’t die in 2 years, they die after a certain number of charge cycles. If yours die in 2 years it’s because you’re using them daily— presumably because you like the small size and low weight. Replaceable batteries would eliminate that selling point.

The extra $0.10 per day over the current AirPods may be worth it if these turn out to be just as portable. The threshold for me is whether it still fits in that otherwise useless change pocket in my jeans.

That’s...a half-hour less than what they get with ANC off.
Presumably that's with music off, or maybe not. Ambient noise cancellation alone should not take the power of listening to loud music for hours. That's been my experience with my Bose headphones. Apple's done something odd with the technology here, or the sentence is unclear.

I guess I'm not really affected by the "Pro" moniker. I bought a computer back in the 90s that had a "Pentium Pro" processor. At the time, that merely indicated that it was the fastest of the Pentium series chips.

Sweat/waterproofing is huge for me. I've been an everyday user of the first gen AirPods, including going running and working out regularly. They are still working OK, but the left one has started to buzz a bit when I crank the volume up all the way.

"The Ear Tip Fit Test helps ensure users get the best audio experience from AirPods Pro by testing the quality of the seal and identifying the best ear tip size for them. After placing AirPods Pro in each ear, advanced algorithms work together with the microphones in each AirPod to measure the sound level in the ear and compare it to what is coming from the speaker driver. In just seconds, the algorithm detects whether the ear tip is the right size and has a good fit, or should be adjusted to create a better seal. "
