Pro. Laughable. Higher tech shouldn’t cost more money. Pro should not mean “more advanced technology.” I shouldn’t have to pay more for a house with more bathrooms or heated floors.
You just owned yourself, because if you think you don’t pay more for a house with more bathrooms and heated floors then you really aren’t getting it at all.

i'm not, i'm worried about whether or not i will like the way they look on me. i care about the way i look.
p.s. your standup routine needs a lot of work, so don't waste time responding.

Yes, make sure to buy technology for how it looks on you as priority #1 before anything else.

Looking forward to your wonderful headshots with earbuds in your ears.

Looking forward to trying them out with this vent-system!!!
I always hated other in-ear models; Hoping AirPods pro is addressing that problem with the vent system;
I really HATE in-ear headsets, mainly because of the pressure they apply, so hopefully the vent eliminates that issue.

I agree 100%. I'm surprised so few people have brought this up, but if the new "vent" technology works, Apple may be fundamentally changing the feel of in-ear buds. I've never been able to stand the pressure before, so people with sensitive ears may have some hope now!

Will these be better than the Sony WF1000XM3?

Somehow, I doubt it. They're top tier in active noise canceling true wireless earphones, and their only disadvantage (to me) is that they're fairly large.

We'll see if Apple can match or beat the current champion. They are similarly priced ($230 for Sony).

Seems like some really expensive earplugs if that’s the use case.
Cuts environmental and atmospheric noise better than earplugs. If you have wind/pressure sensitive vertigo, a good pair of noise cancelling devices is critical. They're also nice in that mode for shopping in those loud, echoey superstores that always play the soundtrack from Hell. I can't even tell that they are playing "The little drummer boy" for the 10,000th time.

I wonder whether they'll last a NYC to LA flight in normal + noise cancelling mode?

PowerBeats have a better design, not like q-tips hanging out your ears.

Though I’m an AirPods owner someone I know described seeing people wearing them as reminding him of these scene from there’s something about Mary

I think what he means is Apple's recent way of increasing prices with better technology that should come naturally. In the past for example with the original iPad going all the way to the iPad Air 2, the base prices of the iPads were always $500, $600, and $700 depending on low, mid, or high storage but with natural technological advances (thinner, lighter, front cameras, Retina Displays, Xbox level graphics, etc.). Same concept with cars, we have better cars than we did 20 years ago but a Toyota Camry is still going for around the $25,000 price, a Toyota Camry does not cost $75,000 today.

Lately Apple seems to increase the price with the premise that it is increasing technology, and people such as yourselves (especially with your condescending response) have kind of been "fooled" in a way by blindly accepting the price increases as "normal".

We aren't talking about 20 years of product improvement. We're talking about a product that has been out 3 years and already received upgrades to its internal technology. This is a new product with major new features. They didn't just update the product and bump the price. This is an entirely new addition to the product line. You can't expect a company to just toss in active noise cancellation for no extra cost. That is the definition of entitlement. It's like expecting them to release a larger-screen version of the iPad at no extra cost.

aesthetics are very important. apple is aware of that btw. don't hold your breath on the earbuds photo session - it's tacky.

Pro stands for Profitable.

While I feel the Pro moniker is a joke and Apple use for it is cringeworthy on some of their devices the APP to me seems reasonable priced compared to the competition and that custom H1 chip with seem less ecosystem integration.

Ordered mine! Just in time too, I broke my one AirPod and could really use the noise cancelling. It’s so loud in my open office that I can’t hear training videos even with my volume turns all the way up.

What happened to your iPhone XGS and Apple Watch 4?

I disagree. I've done 19 hours in the air with my Bose. Even domestically, I regularly go 6 hours or more when traveling (after security, waiting to board, waiting to take off, flight, etc). Not a solution for a road warrior looking to eliminate the drone of the crowds and engines.

now if they had screaming baby cancelling mode.....

Wow, I've heard the Bose are super comfortable, I might have to look into it because I've not been able to go 4 hours without feeling ear fatigue.

fingers crossed they fixed this issue. It's amazing to me no one has but perhaps you need machine learning to make it work?? I assume they're using that for the noise cancelling feature.

Thanks for sharing.. We will all sleep better knowing you can not wear these and you have ear wax.
Don’t understand why some complain about earwax, visit an ENT and get that sucked out. Excessive ear wax may indicate a medical issue due to diet or hygiene. AP gen 1 and 2 did not fit my ears I did not complain, I waited till in-ear was offered. It’s not like AP 1 and 2 is not offered for sale.

Wow $249 not bad my Bang and Olsen ran me $299 have to check these out.

Let us know how these compare. I was looking at the B&O but i was afraid the mic would be lousy on calls like the Bose is. I figured Apple can't possibly screw the microphone up.

Screaming baby UNcancellABLE mode would be built into men’s and women’s jeans or underwear, but I digress.
