Apple has created a new product category. The AirPods are called wearables, but in reality they are disposables.... $10B a year of products that end up in a landfill after two years of use. Magic!
That is incorrect.

"Apple wanted to make clear that you can recycle AirPods — or at least important components of them — and you can go through Apple to do it. There’s a link on the company’s website to order a prepaid shipping label, which you can use to send the device to one of Apple’s recycling partners by dropping it in a FedEx box. Apple says that it has accepted AirPods for recycling ever since they were released, although it was only this year that the company added the product as a specific category of return on the website. The company also noted that you can bring your defunct AirPods to any Apple Store for recycling. “As with all of our products, we work closely with our recyclers to ensure AirPods are properly recycled and provide support to recyclers outside of our supply chain as well,” the company said in a statement."

I really wanted to love the AirPods Pro as I've had the original AirPods since their release. Unfortunately, I have exceptionally small ears and even the smaller earpieces are uncomfortable for me. The audio quality and noise cancellation are top-notch, so I was sad to discover that they were so uncomfortable for me to wear. So while I do still recommend them, I'd just encourage buyers to try them on first if that's possible, or take advantage of the 14-day return window.
That’s a bummer :( Anecdotally, it seems that APP fit more users than did the one-size-fits-all original AirPod, but there are still those who can’t get a good fit.

Someone here posted that Comply will be selling their highly-rated foam tips, but they aren’t on the market quite yet. Maybe those will provide a suitable fit, if you’re still interested in giving APP a try.

I’d like a pair! Matter of time before they release their own over-the-ear?

yessir! Many of us had already forgotten that rumor early in 2019 yet it’s yet to come to fruition. I have a feeling early 2019 Apple will make a sneak leak or we’ll begin to see the leaks.

I expect when launched or officially announced some paring with iMac Pro refresh and the Mac Pro for serious audio profesional!

Consumer Reports rank the Samsung earbuds significantly higher on quality and they are significantly more affordable. Choose wisely.

Sorry but I report on my own consumerism lol.

I’ve already chosen wisely, by choosing Apple for my key hardware components where it makes sense.

I considered the galxybuds for a half second until no EQ app and basic Compatibility and no better reviews than the AirPod OG I wisely chosen NOPE.

super glad I did. The XM3’s I have are worlds better - even offering an ANC that adapts (some user modularity on transparency strength/weakness)wether I’m walking, running, on public transit or stationary (which fully kills off any transparency on the latter).

I’d love to have this function within the AirPod Pros and it may come soon enough!

I have the AirPods Pro and have been using them daily more and more than the WF-1000XM3’s. Game my WH-1000xM3’s (Over Ear profesional kings) to my son as he’s into audio production)!

I’ll get another APP in Matt black.

Don’t fall for BS marketing hype. The Jabra 75t has absolutely zero noise cancellation—active or passive.

Blocking sound that enters your ear reduces the level of some frequencies, but that’s not “noise cancellation” anymore than a 20 cent pair of foam earplugs provides “noise cancellation”. The correct terminology is ambient sound attenuation (or sound isolating).

If you think plugging your ear canals provides anywhere near the same high quality noise reduction as active noise cancellation, you obviously haven’t been on a subway or airplane.

And to be at all effective, sound isolating earphones need to have an excellent, near perfect fit, which tends to be fatiguing over time. In addition, many people don’t like the feeling of having their ears completely plugged up, causing their own voice to resonate loudly in their head. It’s a very poor substitute for the active noise cancellation available in many higher-end products such as Sony, Bose and AirPods Pro.

How is it marketing hype if I actually own both products and have used both in the same places and I’m getting the same noise cancellation with both? The only marketing hype here is your post trying to knock down any AirPods competitor. Until you actually own both and have used both extensively your opinion to me is worthless.

How's the sound good mids and lows wondering if they are as good as my Sony mx1000 buds

I don't have the MX1000, but I do have the Bose SoundSport Free buds and had the QC30 as well. The bass on the AirPods Pro at factory setting are nothing to write home about. Many people who find the lows punchy and "amazing" is because they kept using ****** earbuds and it's the first time they hear any decent amount of it over wireless earbuds.

However... I use it with Spotify mostly, that has an EQ, where I cranked up the lows another 15% compared to where it was set to for my Bose, and managed to get about 90% the same amount of bass. I'm OK with it. Music is certainly enjoyable, but saying that these have beefy base would be a lie.

Yeah, just like any other wireless earbud from any other company.

I don’t understand Apple’s strategy. The whole Beats and Apple AirPods co-existence is confusing. Long term, it seems as though the two may clash. The AirPod pros are extremely good for what they are. Apple not wanting to develop over the ears under the Apple brand (using this new technology) just doesn’t make sense to me. So, if they do, how does this effect the Beats products. Will the two finally merge?

which is flawed considered the buds are crap...two members of the family buds became faulty. and sound wise? no air pods pro are better...how they ranked higher is rather laughable.
I didn’t really like the buds. They were too low in volume and didn’t fit well in my ears. My AirPods 2nd gen fit so well in my ears I’m not sure about the AirPods pro. I don’t think I’ll find the rubber tips comfortable with longer listening sessions. However I am interested in the AC. I find all earphones with silicone tips uncomfortable.

Samsung doesn't have noise-cancelling technology per se, just "Ambient Aware", and appear to only pair fully with an Android device. Choose wisely-er. :)

It’s marketing hype because there’s no such thing as “passive noise cancellation”. There is no noise cancellation with the Jabra 75t. None. Zero. As in non-existent. “Passive noise cancellation” is made up marketing speak for lower-m end earphones without higher end, (real) active noise cancellation. Can a tight fit block noise? Sure, some. But calling that “noise cancellation” is nothing more than BS marketing-hype meant to mislead naive buyers.

Until you compare the cheaper Jabras to real ANC earphones like AirPods Pro, Sony or Bose in noisy environments like an airplane or subway you can’t possibly say the Jabra’s lack of ANC is better than actually having ANC.
