OK in my 6 decades of life I've had a multitude of headphones and EarPods of some sort or another. I've used some of the big name noise cancelling ones and now the Apple version.

1. They sound really good and unless you are some sort of aficionado they will cover it.
2. The noise cancelling function in amazing and at least equal to the top brand of headphones.
3. They are expensive, but it's Apple and we pay more for the brand.

I like em!

I was at another Apple Store today, they told me the same thing: "Everything is normal and work as intended", just couldn't believe.
As next i went to online support (chat) and here i got what i wanted: i am getting a replacement and should sent my actual case for check/repair (they will block full amount on my credit card for the case it was my fault, but release it, if everything is ok).
Just hope, that replacement will be free of this annoying problem!

Same boat then! Let's cross fingers.
Yup, small problem but annoying indeed!

AirPod Pros extraordinary. They are

simply one for the best products Apple has ever produced. There is genuine magic in nearly every interaction. Bravo. I fell in love with Apple again because of the product.

I read the first line of your post in a Yoda voice. I was wondering if they fit his ears well.

I’m glad these are a huge hit for Apple. Well deserved As the new AirPods are simply fantastic.

Consumer Reports rank the Samsung earbuds significantly higher on quality and they are significantly more affordable. Choose wisely.
Ah, yes, audio quality and price are the only two factors anyone should ever consider when looking to buy headphones.

on a side note, I’d bet dollars to donuts that Apple AirPods are being used a lot by non-iPhone users. Just because they are that good - just because they are great “Bluetooth earbuds”. So you’ll find windows laptop users and Samsung phone people rocking Apple AirPods.
I have one friend (that I know of) that used and enjoyed AirPods with his Android phone and only stopped because he lost them. They’re great even outside the Apple ecosystem.

My understanding is there’s some app on Android that brings equivalents for a lot of the iOS features to Android.

AirPods are objectively a poor/bad product (relative to what they cost), they're extremely easy to make (it's a tiny low quality driver encased in plastic, with a chip), and Apple is likely exaggerating demand for PR purposes.

What a difference! Comfort, usability, and sound quality—I mean it's night & day different. I typically don't like those plastic earbud thingies, but for whatever reason, Apple's are actually comfortable - and much easier to change/swap than others. I never understood people who say Beats brand is about sound quality. Their sound quality is for **** compared to Airpods... and Airpods Pro steps it up even more.
You realize that Apple bought Beats and has a unified acoustics team working on both Apple- and Beats-branded hardware…right?

While I haven’t tried the latter, my understanding is that AirPods Pro and Powerbeats Pro have very comparable sound quality and are what most would call “good.” The non-Pro AirPods are a lot of great things — I loved mine before upgrading to AirPods Pro — but to imply that they’re great-sounding earbuds is asinine. They’re very adequate.

Thanks any app in particular that I should check out.

The Music app has an EQ, however I don't use Apple's Music app. I am not sure if you misinterpreted what I mentioned, I was suggest that Apple incorporate an EQ for AirPods within iOS that way it is system wide and not depending on separate apps.

very nice products, indeed.
And the Pro with noise filtering/canceling feature are THE worthy upgrade.

The bad is the unreplaceable battery, who makes it better to buy a new one and that will push the sales even higher..
Apple will replace the battery for you. And it might be free with AppleCare. No need to buy new AirPods when the battery is gone.

Apple has created a new product category. The AirPods are called wearables, but in reality they are disposables. No repairs, no battery replacements, no fancy recycling 'bot, $10B a year of products that end up in a landfill after two years of use. Magic!
“No battery replacement” unless you go to the nearest Apple store and let them replace your batteries.

Thanks for the clarification I did misinterpret

I just got my AirPods Pro delivered this week!

I love them! The noise cancellation works great!

The noise cancellation is amazing. I literally cannot hear people talking to me when it's on, even with no music playing. I cannot wait to try these on a plane.

Apple should consider incorporating an EQ control built-into iOS for AirPods, that would really set it apart as it can be used with any app including Files app to play music. Without adjusting the EQ the preset default bass is on the light side. I tried it out with apps that do support user defined EQ for bass and it works well.

I'm sure that's coming with an upgrade to get customers to buy a newer phone. That said, yeah, I wish it did have it now. The balance is really quite good, as it is on the HomePod. But in some cases, it needs to be adjusted for the music mix itself.

What are some common apps that support EQ adjustments? None of the Apple Apps I'm assuming.

No requirement for a new iPhone as it is an iOS feature, maybe it should be part of CoreAudio not sure. It is my understanding that Apple Music app has EQ (user adjustable). My Panasonic lightening wired earplugs has its own app, it really is a shame that this feature is not built into the OS. Should also be for macOS.

shouldn't it be the opposite? If Pro is on the rise then demand for the regular should fall

Tim Cook mentioned in an earlier interview that he foresees consumers owning multiple pairs of AirPods with differing levels of functionality.

This might be a demographic that isn’t being captured accurately as well, if we assume that every consumer on average buys just one set of AirPods every 2.5 years.

Pretty light AirPod user here. Still have gen 1. Battery is still pretty good. I’m happy with them.

Not gonna lie though. If they were $50 cheaper I’d probably buy a set.

No active noise cancellation, no sale. But people seem to like them ok.

I have both the 75t and the Airpods Pro and the passive noise cancellation in the 75t's is just as good if not better than ANC on the APP. The battery lasts longer on the 75t, they look sleeker, they come in black, they work with voice assistants, you can control the volume with the buttons on them, and they can be connected to two devices at once. They also sound better than the APP in my opinion.

Don’t fall for BS marketing hype. The Jabra 75t has absolutely zero noise cancellation—active or passive.

Blocking sound that enters your ear reduces the level of some frequencies, but that’s not “noise cancellation” anymore than a 20 cent pair of foam earplugs provides “noise cancellation”. The correct terminology is ambient sound attenuation (or sound isolating).

If you think plugging your ear canals provides anywhere near the same high quality noise reduction as active noise cancellation, you obviously haven’t been on a subway or airplane.

And to be at all effective, sound isolating earphones need to have an excellent, near perfect fit, which tends to be fatiguing over time. In addition, many people don’t like the feeling of having their ears completely plugged up, causing their own voice to resonate loudly in their head. It’s a very poor substitute for the active noise cancellation available in many higher-end products such as Sony, Bose and AirPods Pro.

I really wanted to love the AirPods Pro as I've had the original AirPods since their release. Unfortunately, I have exceptionally small ears and even the smaller earpieces are uncomfortable for me. The audio quality and noise cancellation are top-notch, so I was sad to discover that they were so uncomfortable for me to wear. So while I do still recommend them, I'd just encourage buyers to try them on first if that's possible, or take advantage of the 14-day return window.

Really starting to like my AirPod Pros. At first I wasn’t a fan but then swapped out the interchangeable ear piece for one of the other sizes and they are perfect now.
I have very small ear canals. Small enough that I have never not needed the smallest available tips on every bud, and even then, most don’t fit me.

So I automatically put the smallest on my AirPods Pro, didn’t even do the “fit test.”

Silly me.

After a day or so of so-so fit and sound, I finally did the fit test, and went with its recommendation of medium, rolling my eyes the whole time.

Apple was right, though! They fit and sound much better. I think because these don’t have the stalk going into my ear under the tip, it changes things significantly. Whatever the reason, they “just work.”
