The update showed up for me and i installed it...now that its been pulled im worried i've screwed up my Airport even though its working fine...for now

Yeah; have a feb. 08 MBP myself. Installed the update (through software update) but the link does seem to be broken now. Coincidentally, this doesn't fix the random dropping issues, as my wireless just dropped randomly (works fine of course after restarting).

I can't wait for Snow Leopard.

its not a MBP issue but rather a OSX10.5 issue.
10.5 was a nightmare for wireless network administrators when it first came out... believe it or not it is a million times improved in its current crappy form.

I can't wait for snow leopard either, but as I've said before, snow leopard is really "leopard that Apple should have waited and fixed before releasing in the first place"

Uh oh...something doesn't smell good. I'm "that guy" that is excited for Apple software updates and immediately downloads them. I'm kind of glad that I wasn't home when this was posted. I hope everyone's computer is ok!

They pulled it cause it messes up your airport. I tried connected to the internet after i updated and it just freezes and gives me the rainbow spinner. i'm connected to the internet via ethernet right now

my airport won't turn on after i got the update. probably the reason they pulled the update. I'm connected via ethernet.

Yep, messed up the airport on my brand new (old) macbook pro. It won't turn on, I just get the spinning ball.
Now I'm back to my old machine, but at least it is giving me time to setup bootcamp, etc without getting distracted.

i installed it on my macbook pro, maybe it only affects them then.... anyone else having problems with the update?

no problems here... but WTF?

Well, I installed the update on the Airport Extreme connected to my MacPro.

No problems with the wi-fi connections to my other laptops but, obviously, I don't like installing software that has been unceremoniously pulled.

Wonder what is going on and who screwed up.

Feb MBP 2.4. Installed. Works fine as far as I can see. Seems actually a little "snappier":)

Network is testing about 100kbps faster than earlier, but then again, that could just be my network.

Sigh, I was really looking forward to being able to use my new MBP (newest revision non-brick), but since we've only got wireless here, it's a no-go in terms of email, etc. I will laugh if it works through windows. . . I just installed boot camp and xp, sp2.

Well, at least it didn't punch my wife . . .

Installed it on my MSI Wind Hackbook - no problems so far. Didn't get a chance to install it on my Macbook or Macbook Pro before Apple pulled it. Just as well, judging from some of the posts here and on other forums.

I had to 'force' restart 3 times to get it working again....
