I suspect you'll like them!
I didn’t want to pay $15 for them, but when I looked on Amazon all the lesser quality ones were the same price and similar ship times - so I thought I’d go with the quality ones.

Looks like airtag covers are the new fidget spinners for a little while!!

Four leather ones arrived yesterday and they're really nice.

I really like Apple's leather and silicon accessories, but I'm just not paying their prices for these things given what they are and how they'll be used.
I also ordered the leather ones so fingers crossed :)

How old are you? 9?
It’s a perfectly relevant point. Especially because Apple left out chargers from the iPhones to ‘benefit the environment’. These accessories are indeed going to be unnecessary trash in the ocean soon. Especially because they are so cheap and people will go through a lot of them.

How well does duct tape work?
LOL! Exactly what I was thinking! "If its broke, duct it."

I'm just amazed at how many of these people are excited about spending $29 for an AirTag of questionable use, then spending another $29 for a cheap $2 case for it! Suckers are born all the time, and Apple definitely knows how to find them and squeeze the money out of their wallets. Thieves and robbers got it all wrong. Apple found a way to get us to gladly throw our money at them without having to break into our houses are beat us up on the streets!

I like my Apple stuff, especially macs but I think this time Apple went too far by not having a damn hole in the Airtags just to make more money.

Tim Cook "We want to leave the world better than we found it"....Yeah right.
Millions of unnecessary accessories for leaving out a hole.

You're kidding yourself if you don't think they'd still make and sell a ton of "keyrings and holders" even if the AirTag had a hole. People think they look nice and also provide various degrees of protection for the AirTag. They didn't put a hole in it because that would look fugly by Apple standards.

I'm sorry, but after having been thoroughly brainwashed by Unbox Therapy anything else than Hermes won't cut it for me anymore. That, or 0.50$ AirTag holders from China.

For all the parents worried about their kids choking on the battery, ElevationLab’s TagVault looks like a wise choice.
Not because of kids, but I like the unique look and 360 degree protection from scratches, etc. Then again, no one will see the AirTag...which is fine with me.

Ummm....one problem. If keys (or whatever) are lost....people won't know there's an Airtag and "report" it.....

The venn diagram of people who know what an airtag is and what to do when they find them on the one hand, and people who find a tagvault and can’t figure out what’s inside it looks like this:

AGREE....I've decided NOT to get the Elevationlab Airvault. And, if someone wanted to look inside, doubtful they have a torx "screw" driver. Instead Belkin (keychain) holder and clear protective skins.

A lot of these are still too bulky. I'd want the most minimalistic one that attaches to my perfectly good existing split key ring that I'm using now (I have a easy release key ring). The belkin one is closer but I think could be made even more compact. Something like this should cost $5-$10 for the basic function of attaching to your keys.

Personally I don't get excited by how my keychain looks like. I want the lightest possible keychain I can get away with.
If you have access to a 3D printer, try this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4845088

I purchased 3 belkin holders and feel like I got ripped off! $16 for the cheapest plastic holder I have ever seen it should be $3.95 for 2! Find something else!

And not to mention, good luck trying to remove the Airtag.

I really wish apple allowed for smaller text engraving so that I could put my phone number on the one I use for my dogs collar.. maybe someone can create a case that has a solid side for engraving a name and number. Two in one tag. So simple, and genius

There‘s already a holder for going on dog collars, which comes with engraving, on amazon. It’s metal on both sides, though, so i have doubts about it working.

Got the Apple Leather holder.. before I got I was thinking it was a bit expensive for a holder, but after getting it, I find that it is very nice and stylish. Even though the whole thing is a bit bigger than my old Tile, the Tile was clunky and weird shaped and would get dirty over time, and this fits nice in pocket.
