Kind of strange that the US has inventory- because normally everything come straight from China when the products are brand new

I suspect in this case they were able to stock up in advance and had them in warehouses around the world just waiting for iOS 14.5. Because yeah usually preorders come straight from China for me in the UK too.
I must be lucky because all my Apple orders come via DPD.
Certainly my preference too. DHL is okay but when they mess up they have useless customer service in my experience. They just blame you for their mistakes. DPD has real good tracking and has never given me any trouble.

Quality seems ok, worth the money? Probably not. The clasp is fine, don't see any issue with that the holder itself is silicone and seems ok but time will tell how well it stands up in terms of general wear and tear.
Initial impressions are certainly that they will do the job well and last a decent amount of time.

If you click on the track shipment if it does to syncreon then it's DHL, like mine.
Same for me. We may only know tomorrow when the package comes in. From what I recall, tracking is off for the first time.

I'm doubtful there was much stock if any of actual airtags in the states. I've made a few observations over the past week regarding logistics and this is what I've noticed:
My engraved airtag came from China and is currently in Louisville, KY. My stock Airtag just had it's origin scan in Louisville as well. My guess is that they both came in from China over the past couple days.
I will say I do have shipments coming from Lebanon TN but they appear to be Airtag accessories. (They look to be packaged separately oddly enough)
Lastly, I ordered a new Silicone MagSafe case last Tuesday and it also shipped from the Lebanon facility but it did not ship until this past Monday. (Which leads me to believe they sent it to me as soon as they received it. I received it Tuesday which coincided with Apple Stores receiving the new items.)

Quick update. Got an email from Fedex now that I have a package coming tomorrow from Apple in TN. Pretty sure it's the keychains and the one from UPS (engraved), which is scheduled for tomorrow. Lets see as Apple still says May 6.
Yes. Mee too. Airtags shipping via UPS and keychain via FedEx. Both arriving tomorrow.
Just got my text from DHL. My Airtag is due to be delivered on the 4th Mayn and not tomorrow as per Apples site. Anyone else get this?
My AirTag was supposed to be delivered on May 10th-12th but today I got the message it will be delivered tomorrow

My keychain that I ordered from Apple two days ago has a delivery date of the 10th of May but it’s just gone to preparing to ship so it may come earlier….unless it’s being shipped from China
I just got notification that my AirTags were shipping for delivery on Friday... I was late ordering and got an delivery date of May 3-5, but they will be here Friday... either they have more than they thought or demand was less than expected.
My AirTag and leather key ring will be delivered in the next 10 hours. 😅🧐🏠🚚⚪️

nice colour, can’t go wrong with any of the colours, surprised apple didn’t make a black leather king, considering it would be the best colour that won’t look dirty over time. 🤔
