Just got mine now! In Ireland! Love it, it’s so cool! Totally happy with the keyring don’t know what all the fuss is about, it’s excellent quality you would expect from Apple. If you have 30 bucks to spend on an airtag you have 30 bucks to spend on a keyring too.. 😂

Same for me. We may only know tomorrow when the package comes in. From what I recall, tracking is off for the first time.
Well, UPS now says “check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date”. So, not receiving today and as Apple said, it is next week.

My order is still sitting at the local DPD depot, stating “Your parcel is due for delivery today” and awaiting a time slot. Is this normal?

Loving the Airtags so far. In fact I've also just bought a Tile wallet since that will fit into my wallet and that completes my entire inventory of items I can possibly lose. Tile wallet will last approx. 3 years and I'm almost certain by then Apple will have its own wallet version.

My engraved 4 Pack is still in Japan and delivery date changed from today to tuesday. oof.

I think you’re missing the point a little. I have money to spend, but I want to spend it on other things, not on a thing that wouldn’t need a thing, if it had a hole!

I almost bought a 4 pack for the family, and then realised I’d need to buy them each holders too. It’s silly. IMO.

Ok. I don’t. The quality of the keyring is beautiful, there are plenty of other cheap options. I personally like to stick with apple products and design. Even this morning I was out walking with my hands in my pocket, I noticed how sharp and pointed my keyring was on my house keys, I then felt the apple keyring (ring) and it was smooth with rounded edges and felt soft. These TINY little details that most people don’t even notice (I do I have a degree in industrial design) is why I send it with them. They think of every detail. You want something plastic and cheap and sharp that’s not thought out, go for it and keep the 30 bucks. After 3-4 cups of coffee you would spend that anyway, so you could have a beautiful keyring or expensive toilet water! 😄 IMO

I have a B2C coffee maker, so my £££s don’t go on overpriced coffee out of the house. That rationale is tired and only serves to support overpricing and creaming pricing to people who cannot actually afford/justify purchasing products IMO.

Don’t get me wrong, I love industrial design. That’s in part why I’ve got a ton of Apple’s products on my person and around my house.

But I do not love everything Apple does, and I can guess why they made the design choices they did.

A design with a hole may have been larger, perceived to be solely a key finder and become inelegant, in addition to not needing profitable accessories.

I do think it’s difficult to argue for a holder that costs more than the thing it holds. Would you contemplate buying shoes without laces, if the laces cost more? How about a bag you have to cradle, or buy a strap separately so you can carry with ease?

Either way, you do you. If you’re happy that’s good. I’m just trying to be objective.

A fool and his money are soon parted. Not implying you’re a fool. Just a quote I think is apt with some of Apple’s ‘courageous’ product designs.
