Research...I hope you are joking or some are gifts. You can only have 16 per Apple ID.
Seems the signal is weakened by barriers.I know they sell luggage tag accessories for Air Tags but wouldn’t it make more sense to store the Air Tag inside your luggage in a pocket rather than outside of the luggage where it’s visible to everyone? That way if someone steals your luggage they can’t just discard the Air Tag. Or would storing it inside a suitcase prevent it from receiving the signals to track its location?
I agree. My only thought is will the signal be strong enough in a bag?I know they sell luggage tag accessories for Air Tags but wouldn’t it make more sense to store the Air Tag inside your luggage in a pocket rather than outside of the luggage where it’s visible to everyone? AirTags don't seem to do what I've wanted them to do ever since they were rumored -- that being if I put one in my backpack, and I walk away (or drive away) from my backpack (say, I leave it behind at a client) that my iPhone would alert me that I left my backpack behind BEFORE I drive 30 miles back home and discover I forgot my backpack.
Am I correct that AirTag only helps me find something lost and not remind me I'm about to leave something behind?
You can have your iPhone play a sound already and can find it in the find my app.
I think he's asking for the opposite situation. Why would you need Tile or Tag for that? Just goes to Find My, select your phone and play sound.
Ah, I see. Ya I think Apple's answer to that would be the same answer they have for people who want volume control on AirPods. "Buy a $300 Watch."I think he's asking for the opposite situation.
You're traveling, and you can't find your iPhone but you have your AirTag with you (maybe on keys or in a wallet). That is, no immediate access to Find My.
Apple Watch can do that.
I have to say, the Apple Watch has been a life changer for me under many levels (last but not least pinging my phone 😛 ). Got the SE in December and it's worth every damn penny.Ah, I see. Ya I think Apple's answer to that would be the same answer they have for people who want volume control on AirPods. "Buy a $300 Watch."

Again, I think the point of the question is to have AirTag quickly ping your phone if there's no immediate access to an iPhone, or a computer, or an Apple Watch. I don't think it's a needed functionality.iCloud.com
A single emoji on each. Were all your engraved items simple emoticons or did you do custom initials or something like that?
On what? If iPhone is your only device? It’s a feature tile has that I’ve found useful, and it appears AirTags don’t have it.Why would you need Tile or Tag for that? Just goes to Find My, select your phone and play sound.
Nope, there a bit of space.Good point. I’m sure Ifixit will X-ray one of these and see if there is an opportunity to drill a hole somewhere.
I’d be surprised if you could though. It looks like the battery covers the entire surface area.
Yeah it would be a problem if traveling alone but if you have friends you can borrow their phone to get into iCloud.com. If you have iPad, problem solved. If you have family sharing and travel with your family you can use their phones to track yours right there in Find My.Again, I think the point of the question is to have AirTag quickly ping your phone if there's no immediate access to an iPhone, or a computer, or an Apple Watch. Yeah me too. What I'm waiting for is less expensive third-party holders for the AirTags. I did get one Belkin holder but the other ones are just way too expensive.
