Hi everyone,
I’m the developer of AlbumBlueprint, a small iPhone/iPad app for one very specific Photos problem:
iCloud Shared Photo Library shares the photos and videos, but it does not copy one person’s album and folder structure to everyone else’s device.
So if I organize a Shared Library into folders and albums on my iPhone, my family can see the same photos, but they do not automatically get the same album map. AlbumBlueprint is meant for that gap.
What it does:
- Exports a small snapshot of your Photos folder/album structure
- Sends that snapshot to another iPhone or iPad
- Rebuilds matching folders and albums there, using photos that are already present on that device
What it does not do:
- It does not upload photos
- It does not move, delete, or modify your original photos
- It does not replace iCloud Photos or continuously sync albums
- It does not contain photo files in the exported snapshot
The app is built for families using iCloud Shared Photo Library where the media is already shared, but the organization is still personal to each device.
App Store:

I’d especially appreciate feedback from anyone who has run into this Shared Library albums/folders limitation. I’m trying to keep the app narrow and honest rather than turn it into a general photo manager.

Shared Library shares photos, not the structure. AlbumBlueprint sends the missing folders and albums as a small snapshot and rebuilds them on the other device.
