Ordered my Atomic Silver/Blue, despite all the negative comments about them.. I just didn't want to wait for the Vapor case, I'll probably end up ordering from Element when I get my pre-order code (at least a month away).

I'll post my result with them, when I receive it.

Here is my new Exogear. Not as pretty as some and the aluminum is on the inside but it is great to have double the battery. It is super light weight for a battery case.

Yes , paypal send me the tracking number. And about the pocketability, sorry I don't know because I only had it on my phone for like 5 minutes to take the pictures.I didn't like how it looks on the phone.

Hmmm I was thinking of ordering one myself.

I got my Karas Kustom case also yesterday. In Black. Fit n Finish is great, came with the tool to help put it together, and even a couple extra hex head bolts.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work with the skins I have on my iP4.....and I've grown very accustomed to my Mophie JPA case/battery.

I'll probably be posting the black Karas Kustom aluminum case in the 'For Sale' section in the next day or two at a good discount for anyone interested.

Maybe the pictures are flattering. May not be as good in real life. It looks fantastic to me, sort of industrial high tech. Excellent photography. Thanks a lot. I feel better about the silver one I ordered.

I'm sure with those pictures you can get way more than you paid on Ebay. I've got to end this message so I can go back and look at the pictures.

Yea, I guess it does looks better in pictures, that's why I bought it in the first place. There's a few reasons that I don't like this case is ,for one it rest right on top of the glass and also it bubbles up my screen protector on the corners, and it doesn't feels good when you hold it unlike my vapor case. Maybe it's too squarish.

My Exovault should be here tomorrow or Wednesday (the one-off custom
green I showed above...plain back), and I'll do a quick review of it for you. We seem to have the same wants/needs/tastes in cases.

That sounds good. looking forward to the review. :D The only one I saw on Youtube said it totally messed up his reception.

Some may feel that the fusion doesn't look as good as some other options because it covers some of the bezel. I won't judge till it's in my paws, I still love the look of Element the best. I guess they are trying to get looks and protection in the same package without hurting reception. Who ever said you can have it all never tried building an aluminum case for the IPhone 4. :D..................maybe they should try frozen carbonite. Harrison Ford turned out ok. That dude is like 107 and has hardly a scratch on him.

Those are valid points. I haven't been using screen protectors, although someday I might. I don't like it baring on the glass. Feeling good to hold, maybe with time.

Oh well, ordering any of these cases is a gamble.

Agreed, and Harrison looks a bit more wrinkly but maybe that's From the unthawing.

I love the look of the Vapor, but I just couldn't wait any longer so I went ahead and bought an atomic. They look identical but Atomic is also slightly cheaper but less colour options. If I like the atomic I've always got the option to buy another and swap out different bezels from each.

I also ordered an Atomic Case. I did cancel my order after reading about the metal on metal contact. The new models my have addressed that issue. I've owned a Vapor and I just wanted to compare the 2 cases.

After I got ahold of them they were very responsive and easy to deal with.

Good to know, I am aware or the metal on metal contact but I'll see if it affects the signal or anything. If it does, I'll probably just put a small strip of rubber or something between. Providing it will fit.

I do hope they've since revised this, but I guess I gotta wait and see. I'll be sure to keep you posted on this thread.

I decided that I wanted to give the Karas case another try on the phone. So I removed the CF back cover from Element, and my IS screen protector. Without those on the phone, the case fits perfectly. The spacers between the front and back plates are exactly the same thickness as the phone. So the applications on front and back were causing the bowing effect I described earlier. I knew that but I wanted to keep them on. Now removed, I like the case more, and the glass on the phone is supposed to be super glass. I have a old Gen 2 iPod Touch that has never had a screen pro and there are no scratches. I would throw that into a bag with keys and change, so it has been somewhat abused. I hope that no problems come from the case contacting the glass, but I will find out in a week when I remove it. I even had 3 "holy crap, where did you get that case?" today, never got that with the Vapor4. So others seem to be very interested too. No issues with using aftermarket headphones or USB products and all physical control buttons are easily accessible. Though I have noticed better signal, since the antenna isn't covered, I do prefer the Element still.

Good to hear mine Karas shipped yesterday. And am also thinking of ditching my screen protector and after hear your review will. I have been using the Apple bumper for 2 days and it has already started to lift the edges and to me it isn't worth the time bothering with them.

As you said should be fine. I never had one on my blackberry and that's not even glass and never had any issues. Can't wait hoping it'll get here Sat

Hey man, I've been doing custom installs for people using SGP and Lucy labs kits on the Iphone 4 and have seen quite a few scratched up screens and backs.( 3 actually cracked ) It wouldn't matter to me if I found the best case on the planet, there is now way I have my IPhone 4 without it having protection. I like to resell my stuff so keeping it in premo shape gets my a much better price. If you resell you are gonna wanna put your protector back on. Just my thoughts.
