The Gilddesign cases look pretty damn cool, but I have no idea what the website was saying. But I saw a brass colored on in there somewhere.

As for Karas, I wasn't lucky the case did not show up on Saturday, maybe Monday or Tuesday, the shipping statement said 2-3 day Priority USPS. That would have been awesome to have gotten it.

The glid design site just says 5 new colours blue being the new one, mirror finish using aircraft grade A2017s aluminium the edges poking out seems to be a design for hand ergonomics and its 37 gram in weight.

And Hello everyone btw i'm a new member and 1st post lol :D

crazy or just...

How much have you spent on cases in total ?

I figure you could have bought a new phone for that much

Oh I could have bought a lot of things with the money, that's for sure. With these high priced cases (especially the $150 I just spent on the Exovault), I'm up to about $600 in cases total. But I had over 70 cases for my 3G and 3GS. Over $1000 in them. It's just a hobby. I keep the few I really like, and give the rest away or toss them in a drawer.

You sound like my wife, she doesn't get it either. I have only 4 cases in my possession. One was a free one from Apple's case program. And the other 3 I paid for. I have a 5th on on the way from Karas, and in total I have spent about $198 on cases for the iP4, and I am about to order the Exo5 in brass/engraved that is another $185, and when Alumacase opens its doors I will get at least 2 from them, who knows right now what they will cost. But to me its become less about the phone and more about the case. I was a metal fabricator for 6 years before I joined the military:rolleyes:. I have a love affair with metal that hasn't gone away since then. I love my iP4 but, I like making it even more sexy than it already is. Its like phone langerie sometimes more is better than less:D.

Please take the following with a grain of salt, I'm just astonished at the amount of money you guys have dropped on cases

that's just ridiculous.. I imagine you also have different colors for the same case ?

I'm trying to put this lightly but I agree with your wife it just sounds dumb to me... its not like these cases are rare/limited supply

I did a bit of CNC machine work when I was in high school/college

Instead of spending all this money of cases, why not design your own case, make a CAD design of it and have a local shop make it for you ?

A few of them, yeah. What's your point? I've got many things that are duplicates in everything except color. Many shirts that way, slacks, shoes, even two motorcycles that are identical, except that I wanted one in each color. Trying different cases is something I enjoy, simple as that. What I've spent isn't exactly cheap, but, I know people who spend over twice that per year on $7 (or more) Starbucks coffee each morning.

Just got an e-mail from FusionWerkz updating us about their progress with the RAW and SABRE.

Greetings,

You are receiving this communication because you placed a pre-order for a FusionWerkz product: either the Fusion RAW or the Fusion SABRE. The following is an update on the progress of these products:

Fusion SABRE - After initial prototype review, the Sabre is currently undergoing a few modifications to remove additional material from the 'bumper'. We are slated to have a upgraded prototype in the next couple of weeks and once testing results are positive, then production will begin.

Fusion RAW - Prototype testing has been completed and the final version is in production, as of this week. We expect the final product to be available in three weeks. We will be notifying our pre-order customers via e-mail as the product comes to market. Photos of RAW's progress will be posted in the coming days.

Ordering: All orders will be processed via PayPal. You will receive a notice via e-mail and a link to proceed to check-out, please ensure that your registered pre-order e-mail address matches your PayPal e-mail address. If these two addresses do not match, your order will be canceled and your money will be refunded.
We want to ensure that the folks that supported FusionWerkz at the onset are given the first opportunity to purchase. You will have 24 hours to complete your order. The pre-order price is $49.99 and includes free priority shipping in the United States. If you reside outside the U.S., then you will be required pay the additional freight at check-out. (We ship globally if you are a PayPal confirmed user).

Note* Pre-order registration will close for RAW on the first day of sales, the price will revert to $64.99 and be available only after all pre-orders have been fulfilled.

Thank you for your support!

FusionWerkz Team

Here also... FusionWerkz seems very organized, which is a refreshing change in comparison to some of the others .

I though the same thing. They aren't willing to get going until they have a tested and ready to ship product. I respect that

Just got the same email just trying to remember what email i used to preregister with :(

I definitely did not use my paypal email address to pre-register, so I went ahead and pre-registered again, and explained that in the comment box.

Exciting! I'll probably order the Alumacase when it comes out later this week, as well as the RAW case.

I sent them an email today stating that my pay pal email is not the one I registered with, and they combined them. Pretty quick to respond too!

Karas is here

I got my Karas case today and I will be taking it off after only 5 hours or so. The case clamps the phone in by the front and back glass plates. It is squishing my screen protector and with the carbon back from Element on the phone the case bows up on the long sides. It looks really nice but I'm not happy with the fitment, but no signal issues should occur with this case, maybe down the road I will use it again, but for now its off.

Ok i called Karas before placeing my order last week.

They said they dont recommend using skins on the phones because the case was machined for the specs of the phone. He said screen protectors will probably work, but skins will be too thick.

Looks good. Just put spacers on.

No offence to the Karas fans. But I like fluid lines and symmetry. I am always eager to try new cases but the Karas just comes off as looking uneven to me. It seems jagged with too many sharp angles. I am warming up to the Exo5 though. I like the magnetic closure. It would be a slam dunk if you could choose a different pattern for the engraving on the back vs just waves.

My Exovault should be here tomorrow or Wednesday (the one-off custom
green I showed above...plain back), and I'll do a quick review of it for you. We seem to have the same wants/needs/tastes in cases.

i just received my Karaskustom silver case.
it fits like a glove..(i do have front and back clear protectors).
the four corners of the case hold on to the iphone perfectly.
the top and bottom do fit to the teeth therefore anything more than the clear screen protectors would probably be too tight ( as stated from previous post).
the finish of the case is pretty much identical with the apply metal rims of the iphone which is perfect... i want a case to enhance my iphone 4 design rather then taking over it...
i can totally see this case is not for everyone though..it's not a pretty case.
It's sick looking

i can safely say the search for my iphone 4 case is over...at last.

have fun with your case(s) everyone :)

I had also just received the Karas case last night. I had it on my phone for 5 minutes then I took it off. The case doesn't looks so good on my phone, actually I don't like it one bit.The case rest right on top of the glass. I have the PS front and back screen protector on and the case mess it up ,made it bubbles up. I'll probably gonna give it or sell it to my friends.
