I got a Caudabe case for that reason. I don't like bulky phones, nor do I like to hide the back really 🙂

I got the clear caudabe case and loooove it.

I’m also one of the people who ordered silver because all my other phones have been black or grey because I prefer the black front. So happy to have a change.

I posted this in another thread:

I'm getting used it.(screen size vs. 7+) and I think I prefer the look and usability of the "longer apps" I get my on my X.

that being said, if apple does a X+ with a 6.4" I will buy that.

For me, I feel I am already getting used to the smaller screen.

But more importantly for me, the FACE ID IS THE KING TECH OF ALL TECH.

I had "forgotten" I was using an X last night, talking to girlfriend, I casually unlocked my phone AND 1Password which was the front most app ~ with my ugly face ~!!!!

OMG WORTH IT RIGHT THERE

if I had a dime for every time I had to press that damn Touch ID (that's how convenient faceID is to me now, I now swear at Touch ID) so if I had a dime for every time I had to touch it, I think I will pay off this X within the year!!

Got mine about 12pm and didn’t set it up fully - I was starving so I went to lunch and ran a few errands - had to mail my sold 7+ off as promised

The first time I put the x in my back pocket of my skinny jeans ( I’m a woman) I was in lloooooooove. Don’t get me wrong I love my pluses all of them -6+, 6s+and my7+ but to have a larger screen with upgraded features in a smaller package is great

I bought the right color - I wanted to match my AW3 SS and set up was a snap once I returned

Verizon did an excellent job this launch

Although I don’t plan to pay off my x - with the money I got from my 7 plus -($645) I really didn’t do bad even eBay gave out a $40 gift coupon for the fees they charge

I’m super happy I wanted and bought what I wanted a sliver 256gb iPhone X

The gestures are easy for me except to open multiple apps - still working on that one

I’ve been rocking the + phones since the 6 and really enjoyed the larger screen. I’m taller and would go case free so getting the phone in my pocket and using it one handed was never a major issue. That being said it could be a bit difficult and I was always a bit envious when I used my wife’s 6s because it really was so easy in the hand.

Now I’m really enjoying a screen with a bit more real estate than the 6s but small enough for easy one handed operation. I know there will be times I miss the width and ratio of the plus but I’m happy right now with the “latest and greatest” phone.

Of course, if they release a x plus next year I’m sure I’ll get it.

And Face ID so far is awesome!

Yeah, I’m going to return the two Apple Leather X cases today. They just really ruin the look and add bulk. I was a big fan of their leather cases on my 6/7.

I have worn the case when I leave the house for the last to days. When I come and drop the case, it feels like a whole other phone, taken out of an episode of Black Mirror. I’m considering it as well, now that it’s in a more easier to handle size, than my old plus.

That said, my god this phone is awesome. Was a bit bored with iPhones the last couple of years, and I was impressed with the competition.. those days are over now..

actually I’ve started to like what they did with the notch - it makes the display feel bigger and more immersive, while it adds a bit of character with those “horns”. I know I’m alone with that opinion though 😛

Yeah Face ID is going to go over well with the media and consumers. Apple does it again. Touch ID is going to seem so passé

I just used Apple Pay at the Apple store for the first time on the X. Not so bad. Works as advertised

Picked up a silicon case to hold me over until I get the Caudabe.

It’s kind of hit or miss on leather Apple cases. They don’t always represent the color and the two I got looked cheap like pleather.

Silicone fits better and it slimmer.

Which case from caudabe? I’m look for a slim case, clear. Thanks.

Here’s a nice little thing: I no longer have to take off my polarized sunglasses to see the screen well. Polarized lenses don’t play well with LCD screens, because they dim it so strongly. The OLED screen on the X doesn’t have that issue.

Also, yes, Face ID works very well with my sunglasses, and also while in my car mount. 🙂

I love this phone!

Really love it. Space Gray 256. Everything works. Face ID is great - losing the tendency to push the bottom of the screen slowly. Getting the gestures. Camera is harder (by small increments) to get to quickly, but love everything about it. Have no problems. Love it. Super happy.

The three things I like the most for now:

* The screen size. Coming from a 6, this is what I've been waiting for for a looong time
* Face ID. I never like the while "Touch ID then press home" thing. Face ID is just amazing. And it works in the most absolute dark. I just wish it would open the home page without having to swipe up.
* The feel. Holding it is just... I can really express it, but the way this thing feels in your hand is amazing. It's utterly smooth and soft, not as slippery as the aluminum was, the weight is just right, and the balance is perfect. Truly feels super high end.

Other things I love -
No home button. Took me all of 10 seconds to get used to it.
Haptic feedback and force touch - omg. Still discovering everything you can do with force touch, but the haptic feedback alone makes me regret not buying a 6S "back then".
The screen. It looks like a the "pixels" are just laid on top of the glass.

No, no, no, this will not do. Bloody positive threads, here on MR? What the heck are you thinking?
Don't you know we like to bitch and moan about things. Hrrrummmph, I would just like to state my discontent, now if you'll excuse me, I have bags of kittens that need "attended" to.

Right, that nonsense out of the way, I loooove my X, haven't found anything yet that makes me want to complain about it.
Like the form factor it feels great in the hand, love the screen, Face ID is awesome, I don't miss Touch ID at all, though I knew I wouldn't I've been saying that since we found out about it.

The gestures are great, I'm a fan of gestures over buttons anyway and these ones make the iPhone so simple to use. Animoji's are annoyingly fun to use, I thought I'd hate them but me and the wife have been in tears laughing at some of the stupid messages I've been sending her.

The use of the Face ID sensors actually within the OS for gesture aware things like turning off the screen and so on are a great addition.

I'd like to be critical on something but I can't, not yet anyway, it's only been a day but this is the first iPhone I've had which seems to have almost everything I want in a mobile device. The things it doesn't have, well, they don't exist yet. Or don't exist in a format suitable for a mobile device.

Oh, I suppose I could complain about some apps not being updated, but that would be nit-picking. The main apps will all be updated in time and relatively short time. We pretty much know that from our past experiences with Apple changing screen sizes.

Edit:
Wait, I’ve thought of something to complain about. I’m still sometimes forgetting the new gesture for Control Center and closing the app instead. But that might be my problem 😀

You guys already hit all my high points, so I’ll add something else.

SPEED! My god this phone is FAST, And BUTTERY SMOOTH. Absolutely 100% lag and stutter free.

I’m coming from a 7 Plus, which was already a beast. But I can really feel the improvement to responsiveness, which surprised me. It’s not that commands necessarily execute any faster as measured in milliseconds, but everything works with a much higher level of smoothness. The home and multitasking gestures are perfectly in sync with my finger. It’s hard to describe. But it feels so premium, and kinda sci-fi. Good stuff.

Bought both silver and SG with the plan of keeping the silver. Had a few issues with the build so returning it. Thankfully the SG is flawless and a fantastic piece of modern technology in a small package.

Gestures are great and it's hard to pickup my 7plus and not try to swipe.

The screen pops although I'm not completely sold on truetone as it's a little more yellow than I like. Thankfully the screen looks great with it off.

Speakers are fantastic with a little more bass and loudness compared to the 7plus.

Call clarity is fantastic as always with iphones.

Face ID is the future. When it inserts passwords you know. Looking forward to it getting faster. Would like the option for it to open the phone without a swipe though. Or at least the option to swipe anywhere on the screen.

Size is spot on as is button placement. Happy to see reachablility is still an option as phone is tall.

Like the stainless steel apple watch (which I love) this phone is a work of art. A piece of jewellery.
