Anyone on Verizon going from a non unlimited to unlimited plan and doing the $700 trade in? I'm not sure if I should change my plan to unlimited right away, or after I actually have the phone in hand to activate.
Anyone have AT&T Next up? Pay off half to upgrade. Seems like you cant purchase the iphone 13 on the Apple website and have the option to upgrade in a year with AT&T anymore. It's a straight installment plan of 36 months.
Thanks for the info. Seems like 1-3 monthly payments of $30.53 first, then credit kicks in and 33 months @ $2.75/mo. That's very good. And then pay it off next September.I mentioned this on the previous page.
While the trade in value cuts your monthly payments significantly, 36mos is their trade off. But you can always pay your monthly installment payments in advance in the app.
This also leads me to wonder if they did away with those Next Plans for everyone and 36mos is the new standard across the board or just for existing user
Yup, always put the entry model slightly below what most people will want, so they buy the upgrade. For the pros it really should have started at 256GB, 512GB and 1TB but I guess Apple wants that extra money.
Read this. It seems like even if you pay off the phone early next year you must keep the device on the same agreement for the next 2 years. Full term of 36 weeks. Can't upgrade.I mentioned this on the previous page.

Same boat. . . my 128GB 7+ is feeling a little slow these days. But it is still working pretty well on iOS 14.7I get disappointment for for some here, but as owner of 7+, it’s thrilling. 😆
I am bummed about no touch and piece of me wants to wait one more cycle. 7 + is doing remarkably well.
My loan says November but that as of October 8 I can qualify and order bummer cannot pre order Friday. I did go and make another payment but darn Citizens makes it hard to do extra payment because you are in auto pay on the loan. And they say it could take up to 3 days to register which means I may be out of luck for Friday. I just have to make one more 69.xx payment so I did a 70 dollar one to make sure. Maybe it will get thru before Friday but till then no pre approval til I pay I talked to Apple Representative who said I had to do that would not happen on pre order day as part of process — the apple store was not clear on the message of how I paid the 12th payment I needed to make.So for those of us on the Pro Max, with the Apple Upgrade program... last year the Pro iPhones were delayed until November 13th thanks to the pandemic released supply issues... so would that mean we can't do the upgrade until this November (or that we can upgrade now only if we pay a couple of extra payments)? Anyone have any idea how that works?
I kept on digging myself today and discovered if you use the store app on your phone and act as if you're upgrading using the upgrade program, it shows how much you have to pay on your payment plan in order to upgrade - and gives you the option to pay it then with your order. Now, because the new phones can't actually be ordered yet I wasn't able to pay it through there, but if what the Apple Store app shows on the phone is accurate, it looks like we should able to pay the next payment on the plan there and upgrade all in one process. My loan says November but that as of October 8 I can qualify and order bummer cannot pre order Friday. Same here. I got in October and new loan approved or something November after they got my old phone inspected ect. But trying to pay Ciizens is a real pain you can not make extra payment on web site since I am in auto pay. Tells me to contact a number and that is another pain digging through numbers menu still no person. I Finally found place and made extra payment. They give me a bunch of crap about make sure that this helps me with apple? And now that I paid 70 of the 69.xx I owed it could take til 3 days and they will still make October payment from my account what a pain in the ass. So we shall see if I order on Friday. If this does not work I may just say the hell with it and wait for the 14 pro max. My 12 is not bad, wanted the 1TB option, and the better 5G setup to get even more (the old 5G in the 12 Pro improved my cell signal in my weak area so hoping it would even be better) And as usual some features in cameras were of major interest but I can live for another year if they make this to much a hassle and I will be paid month early in 2022 to boot. Time will tell. You probably will have to make a couple extra payments. I got my 12 Pro in October so I'm being told I have to make 1 more payment to upgrade, so by extrapolation November should be 2 more payments.
Well the Apple Rep said that would not happen if I tried to order on Friday. They said I would don’t be able to order since my next payment of 69.xx was on October 8 I would have to wait so not clear if that works. I agree doing that on the apple store ap I get to the same point but the wording is not clear. I was at same point as you. Well if I am able to order then my paying another 70 dollars was a waste of time. I guess we see on Friday. I did not want to take a chance though and then have to wait til my 12th payment is taken on October 8. The rep might be wrong, I admit the wording sounds like it would happen as part of order process and since we cannot pre order yet I do not know if your conclusion is correct. I was also hoping for the preapproval process to be available but probably not til the payment is made? then I find getting AT&T or any carrier to work with new phone order approval process is hard at 2 Am Illinois Central Daylight time (5AM California time)I kept on digging myself today and discovered if you use the store app on your phone and act as if you're upgrading using the upgrade program, it shows how much you have to pay on your payment plan in order to upgrade - and gives you the option to pay it then with your order. Well I dug in and after a pain in search on web site for Citizens I had to do by phone and. That was also computer menu what a pain. And now they say it could be up to 3 days before the payment (I did straight 70 dollars to be safe) is registered. So wondering if I will be able to order on Friday. the amount is on my credit card now so maybe it wil only be 24 hours to register. I will see. Not an easy process to interrupt a fixed loan payment accountYeah, looking I've made 11 payments. (The upgrade site isn't working for me currently... probably too many of us checking). I just made the 11th this week; the 12th isn't due until mid-October. I don't see a way to make an extra payment early; may have to call and figure that out (or just be patient and wait a month... but who wants to do that??)
Did you actually get a real person I spent that time almost doing it via the numbered menu options from the computer. I finally made a payment of 70 dollars to make sure my final payment covered. It was vague though said and it could take from 1-3 days to post. Hope this is the same for my experience. Will be interesting if it does by tomorrow what my upgrade then says. Wondering if they are going to do preapproved this year?I called them and did it over the phone. Took about 20 min and posted the next day.
Yeah mine looked similar but looking below it also says in order to upgrade you will have to pay off the remaining balance of your first 12 payments which for me is the October 8 payment. That looked fishy to me and I asked the apple representative I mentioned in earlier reply to you, and they said no it does not happen at order time. You have to make the required final 12th payment at Citizen and what a hassle it was for me to do that. So not sure what the case is what you and I read here or what the representative told meView attachment 1831288
Just to show what you find in the apple store app. So it looks like we should be able to make that next payment with the order and still get the new iPhone at the same time (no matter what may have been said by Citizen). Crazy process. Too bad they don't just say "well, it's 11 months this time because we delayed last year, go ahead and swap". I realize why they don't... but it would be a nice gesture to the most loyal customers who do it on day 1
Good news pre-approval active now. Got my phone the trade in and setup by AT&T all set. Just have to long in and make the final click. Not sure if that means I didn’t have to pay the extra payment or not the message was still there but a new button for pre approval was active and I completed process. I think you were correct and the Apple rep was not. Give it a try nowView attachment 1831288

Yes I got pre approved as well same results with one payment of first 12 leftMaybe I'm reading the upgrade process differently than others and guess will find out Friday. I just went thru apple app and says I'm all pre-approved to pre-order Friday. Same mention on paying off the first 12 months, which would be the 1 additional payment to Citizen. When you upgrade, a new loan number is established and the old one is zeroed out. In this case, I presume there will be a balance due of that one month on old loan and either it will be charged at same time as the first payment on new loan or at next set payment timing on old loan. Until payed off, the old loan remains your liability. It's like if you do the upgrade why mail. You have to return the old phone after getting new one. The old loan is not closed out until you do. And if you never return, then they don't close the old loan and you then have two open loans. Know someone who decided not to return and keep old phone for family member and that is what happened.
Trying to decide on whether to stick with my fully functional 7+. May need to get a new battery though; battery life is fading.I'm happy with my 8 Plus for now. i'll see what the next SE brings. Still want to stick with Touch ID for now.
