Doubt they would change the design though an iPad 2 shape would be cool. Just expecting a aluminum back.

Please Apple go with ONE model compatible with both GSM and CDMA. No more 18 model mess.

For me the most wanted option is a larger screen. My eyes are getting any younger.

I've read somewhere that Apple may delay the launch until later in the year to give some space from the Verizon iPhone launch.

40% change of better resolution than retina display? FAIL. Should be 0%.

Nope. The next iPhone will have 960x640 pixels, same as the current version.

As much fuss as they made about Retina looking good, they made MORE fuss about how all apps would run on it and look pretty good. They're not gonna add a few more pixels to the phone if the result is that most of your apps are scaled weird and get all jaggy.

The only way to go up again without those problems is to go to 1,920x1,280 and there's no way that's happening.

So 960x640 is the only thing that makes sense, even if the screen is slightly bigger and they lose some resolution. They'd rather lose a little resolution than make millions of apps look bad overnight.

you should check your knowledge before posting and calling others morons.

A higher resolution doesnt mean a better retina display. A higher resolution means a lower ppi. So while the resolution is higher the retina display falls. A 4 inch screen would increase the resolution.

That's a technicality.

Go take an iOS UI course and you would understand why Apple is not changing the resolution.
 
just by giving a cool name, apple expects something to become magical ... when and if apple launch 3d tech in their devices .. they might call it .. lets see - Surround Vision. ... retina display what an awesome name for something as simple as a higher resolution screen .. higher resolution screen don't sound sexy .. retina display gives us all bonerz

Higher resolution on the same size screen means a greater PPI.
Same resolution on a larger screen means a lower PPI.
Larger Screen + higher resolution (could) mean the same PPI.

If they go to a 4" screen, they either have to reduce the PPI (leaving the resolution the same) meaning that each pixel is physically larger. This makes developers happy but does mean the PPI isn't as nice as it was (the loss of Retina). OR if they go 4", they have to increase the resolution and then scale up the current apps to that resolution making them look uglier; until the developer releases an update that supports the new resolution natively. Doing the second option means that they can put in a Retina display but requires more work from developers.

Nope. Subsequent remedial measures are inadmissible in trial for that purpose. Rule of Evidence 407 in the federal and most state rules.

The iPad 2 had 18 different models which is indeed not possible for the iPhone 5 since it must have cellular built in. The most they can have is 9 if they have 16/32/64 GB models with black & white and AT&T and verizon seperately, assuming they don't do something weird like have more colors than black & white. Most likely they'll have 4 - 16/32 GB in both black & white with a combined GSM / CDMA chip.

looks nice, but the back is like iPod Touch, and boy does it scratch alot.

There are still many apps out there with the old iPhone 3G resolution.

What happened with the resOlution independence rumor?

No physical button = how will you do a screen shot? A multitouch gesture?
How do you reset the iPhone?

I agree, the only way I see the home button gone is if the rumors about the keyboard are true.

That's just my opinion.

I love the physical home button. I'm not sure why everyone wants to get rid of it, other than those who's home button is worn out. Apple could fix that my making it so you don't have to double-click it for everything.

better notification system
sound/ringtone profiles (ala BB)
1080p recording
8 megapixels camera
more ram
A5 dual core
wireless syncing
