I would love them in front of the Mac at home / office, not so much on the go.

Problem is: My Airpods (1st gen) only have power for 2h. Sitting in front of the computer much longer...

Wow what a striking and dramatic design. Very stark and Apple and high-end looking. Definitely not like any usual design, so it’ll take a little getting used to, but there’s definitely something striking and beautiful about it. Very, very interesting just to look at.

Yeah, not believing this is real at all. I realize some people don't care about aesthetics, but apple does, and these are fugly.

in the pic they resemble older bowers&wilkins ones. which would be nice. but hard to tell.

That was the first impression when I saw it as well.

B&W headphones to me are the best. I bought my P7's from the Apple store a few years back and they still look 100% brand new today. Best build quality amongst many other competing platforms and the sound of course is among the best. Sadly popular name brands of less quality tend to sell better simply because their name is in the media more often, and I'm not talking just about Apple or Beats.

Yes. Luckily Apple has quite a few Engineers previously worked in B&W. And judging by Iovine lack of power / direction over all the Apple Audio products, ( meaning they have the ultimate authority ) I have faith this will be good.

Although whether it is a good as B&W remains to be seen. ( I am just a huge fan of B&W. )

couldn't agree more. i hope these are as close to b&w as can be)

They paid so much for the Beats name, look, and branding. Who woulda thought they had a solution already in-house, where “AirPods” would become bigger?
See that's what I don't get. Beats is a major name in headphones. They spent plenty to get that name. Why splinter your offerings? Why not just have airpods by beats or roll airpods into beats or something? Why does a phone/computer/services company need 2 totally different and lucrative headphone divisions?

Same idiots on here how swore they'd never wear AirPods because of how they looked-how did that end up working out for you? Oh, you got a pair!
