The wildly differing color opinions kind of remind me of that blue-black / gold-white dress thing a few years back :)

In any case, one would think that Apple... king of marketing... would be smart enough to not use a color that half the people immediately think is ugly.

I'll believe the Mini when I see it. I really want to replace my MBP with a desktop. I just don't believe we'll get a new Mini and would be scared to see how they figure out how to gimp it.
All valid. Reading back through the rumor mill, I feel better that there will be a new Mini than that it'd have a Kaby Lake processor (which is a pretty low bar).

I hope the copper/gold will be similar to the one of the Sony Z3 that one was absolutely gorgeous. Pictures doesn't do it justice and I'm sure the leaked pictures/renders doesn't do the iPhone justice either.

Doesn't really matter the color... People will still find ways to scratch it without a case.. it only gives the illusion if you have a better color... Don't show scratches, but its still there :D

Foxconn would be in China,,, at least their largest.. and probably the "first" or easiest.

In my opinion, most anything that is actually made of copper looks great. Polished or not polished, fresh or with a patina, doesn't matter.

However, anything that is not copper that attempts to look like copper, ends up appearing cheap and crappy instead. Plastic trying to look like copper, rubber or silicon trying to look like copper, aluminum anodized with a copper color, copper spray paint, etc.

I think it's beautiful. It will resonate with female consumers(myself) and others who want an eccentric color

Does anyone actually believe these leaks are not intentional?

Sure. Apple is well known for not doing public testing BEFORE a launch, because they think they know better than we do. And because surprise is one of their more powerful sales tools.

Historically, they only do consumer panel tests AFTER a product is out.

Likewise, they have no reason to leak stuff like this to test the waters. They're gonna do, what they're gonna do.

One of the ugliest colours I've ever seen.

I'm convinced this is going to be more gold coloured than most of these renders/dummy units are making it look.

With colors, there is no such thing as a target audience, because of how preferences differ amongst a Multitude of people. One might find the Blush Gold appealing and someone else (Like yourself) may find it unattractive. Granted this color is different and not traditional, but perhaps this is what Apple wanted if this color happens to be accurate.

I suppose you're right but judging from the comments on this thread, looks like I'm in the majority of people that doesn't like this colorway. I understand Apple is trying to appeal to "everyone" that might like this color but I don't see this one flying off the shelves unlike the black, silver, gold and rose gold. I could be wrong and will be eating crow if it's proven to be popular (I highly doubt it).

It probably depends of how the new features will 'replace' the touch-ID. Maybe for payments it will be enough just to hit any 'pay now!'-button on the screen or on the Apple Watch as the new Infrared/Laser/whatever-sensor already captured your face a moment ago, so you might still confirm a payment by touching the touch-screen, but no need to touch the touch-id-button anymore. Or maybe they'll add some voice recognition, i.e. you confirm payments by saying "pay now" or just by simply nodding your head. iPhones/smartphones changed the way people behave (like everyone's starring at their screens at the public transport, in cafes and restaurants instead of talking to each other or reading newsPAPERS), so maybe this new technology will also change the behaviour of how people will pay...
Just imagine if you're waiting at Starbucks and everyone's confirming payments by nodding or shaking their heads or shouting 'damnit, yes, pay now for that damn overprized coffee'...
;)
This is exactly the way Apple will convince the public despite of their failed attempt to put an in-display TouchID. Lucky for you, Apple don't have to convince you anymore to accept their failure.

I think they're deliberately making crap colours so we'll all spend more money on a case with a decent colour.
