The iPhone would just be a little longer, like the iPhone 5 compared to the 4. You get all the benefits of the new screen, plus a little extra length for a larger battery.

How hard is that to imagine?

Lol. The iPhone 4S height = 115.2mm, the iPhone 5S height = 123.8mm. Difference of 8.6mm, that is a considerable difference. The screen jumped from 3.5" to 4". This is potentially 4" to 4.7".

I think it looks more like the Galaxy than it does to the iPhone 5.

I don't think anyone cares if the iPhone was a smidgen longer.

Again, balanced design and larger battery.

I'm sure a lot of people do actually. Any longer without becoming wider is going to make it look that much weirder and more awkward.

When has an Apple product satisfied every single person?

I wouldn't mind one bit.

The way it is now is awkward to me and to a lot of folks who already posted about the unbalanced design.

I see more resemblance to the S4.

It looks like both of them got drunk and ended up having a baby together that shares the best qualities of each. It's a little bit of an iPhone, a little bit of the S4.

Though really, when it comes to handheld rectangles that are mostly filled with screen, there's only so much customization that can be done to differentiate one phone from another.

This design alone is 5.2mm taller than the current, with absolutely no width change. It will look awkward enough with that change, let alone making the display the same size and making the top bezel symmetrical to the bottom by way of increasing the height further. Lol

Reminds me a lot of the iPad mini. It's obvious they are now taking cues from the mini.

Also, I wonder what screen res would be? It needs to be at least 1280x720 to be considered "retina" (i.e >300 PPI).

The is the first iPhone that I've liked the looks of from the start.

I'm very much a function over form kind of person.....I despised the iPhone 4/4S "Glass Sandwich", and I hated the iPhone 5/5S "Slip and slide with chamfers". Squared off edges (Chamfers don't count - they just added more sharp edges and a mirrored finish to scuff) are NOT comfortable. the last 4 iPhones have been like expensive italian cars to me - nice to look at, but impractical and uncomfortable as hell. I look at my hand and I don't see a single hard edge or 90 degree angle for that phone to fit into, so why have them?

Now, make the screen out of sapphire and somehow make the aluminum more scratch resistant (Read: Type III anodizing) and this may be the first iphone I use without a case.

This is probably a render. Someone on reddit noticed that the bubbles under the plastic in one of the photos are in the same pattern on the front as on the back of the phone. Link

Its look fake because it's a prototype. I like where the design and form is heading.

Good job iphone 6 prototype leaker.

Whatever may be next, if there are not monumental changes in iOS I do not believe I will be a buyer. Tim should start by firing Jonny as head of the iOS team. All he seems concerned about is Crayola colored icons. Here we are staring the 8th generation of iOS in the face and it is still a POS under the hood. After ditching Jonny, most of the rest of the alleged leadership of the team need to go too. It is nearly impossible to believe that any of them actually use these damned things, much less OS X.

And while they're at it, the hardware team could give up on the slippery, fragile, anorexic design "ethos" and put enough battery in it to do some good. Oh, and a micro SD card too.

The design is quite similar.

could be because it packs a huge screen in the smallest possible body for that screen size..most phones will end up looking like this..Top half can easily be compared to the HTC one as well if one was so inclined..Most phones will be the same ...large screen on a minimum bezel design..I would be dissapointed if this was the final version for apple..I just may stick to the 5s for the full two years, unless apple does provide much better features..

This looks like a great concept minus the fact the bezel makes it look like an S4. I don't think it's real. The logo looks kind of off from the top where it usually rests and the FCC logo is suspect since it would be too early to start placing it on the shell unless we were close to launch.

Still, a great render.
