Reminds me a lot of the iPad mini. It's obvious they are now taking cues from the mini.

Also, I wonder what screen res would be? It needs to be at least 1280x720 to be considered "retina" (i.e >300 PPI).

And the iPad mini took cues from the iPod touch.

Looks very Samsung Galaxy-seque, agree that the asymmetrical top and bottom bezel is very non-apple style. I prefer the iPhone 6 concept by Arthur Reis.

Eh. The more I thought about it, the more I found it had in common with the HTC One.

Which might be the reason why I like this 6 prototype/mockup so much. I think the One is one of the best looking smartphones around.

Because it takes cues from iPhone/iPod/iPad with unibody aluminum and chamfered edges. The only thing I didn't like about the One was the plastic band around the sides. If the new iPhone can truly be unibody that will be one sweet device. I'm very curious to know how they're handling the antennas.

Playing the devil's advocate, what if the bubbles on the silver phone were real, and the whole gold phone was fake, so the bubbles were just added to it? On thing I didn't like about the gold phone was how dusty the screen was. If they had access to the phone, why not wipe off the screen? Also, why so few pics of the gold one?

For everyone asking where the antennas will go, I believe the antenna signals will be routed through the apple logo on the back. These photos show a similar black logo like on the iMac and iPads that are actually cut into the casing.

LTE and MIMO WiFi both require 2 antennas with at least some spacing between them.

I am so excited even though this looks fake but I can't wait!

I just hope Apple does not disappoint me this year, a 4.7 to 5'inch display and longer battery life is all I want and need atm. Maybe get rid of this annoying home button --double tap to multitask, never liked it *smh*

keep in mind that this is a prototype. The actual thing could be totally different from this (e.g. be thicker to support cellular features, etc)...

still, impressed that the annual parts leak for iPhone continues. So much for doubling down on secrecy...

Hence why i said if.

Either way ill be standing in line for it.

Ok so the bubbles make it look as though it is indeed a fake... As for the antenna issue, google "Apple microslot antennas". Looks like Apple may have a way around the antenna issue... Make it out of liquid metal and put a sapphire display on the front and it will be a very tough phone!

Still looks pretty real to me. Or my mind is telling me it is real because I very much want it to be real. ;)

I think the gold one is a render placed over the real photo (the silver one) the shadows don't convince me.

I used the latest Samsung Note in January, and while Android has improved, it was not smooth like iOS. I had to restart the phone twice in the first two days of use because it was frozen/barely moving. There is so much crap going on in the background that you never know what is causing it to slow down. It was not as smooth as any iPhone I have used.

iPhone are recommended to be restarted because of memory management issues that cause crashes galore and eventually corruption of the "native" (i.e. Apple) apps which require the device to be "bricked" and set up as a new device requiring a re-installation of all the apps and placing them in folders and so on. After starting all over it is just a matter of time until you have to do it again. No, you can not restore from a backup because the native apps are a part of the OS, just like Microsoft did with Internet Explorer which means that you can not uninstall the app and reinstall it. If you restore from the backup, you simply reinstall the corrupt versions that caused the problem in the first place.

Having to individually install and organize a few hundred apps is not fun and takes more that enough hours to give you an attitude.

There are so many things that are in iOS that are just crude that it is disgusting.

Lol. The iPhone 4S height = 115.2mm, the iPhone 5S height = 123.8mm. Difference of 8.6mm, that is a considerable difference. The screen jumped from 3.5" to 4". This is potentially 4" to 4.7".

I can tell you from personal experience that the screen size increase from the iPhone 4 to the 5 made a useful improvement in the readability of web pages, email and documents in general. I have looked at things on a a larger screened Android device and the increased screen size is useful IMO. The only reason for Apple not to offer a model with a larger screen is that they have their heads in the ground and are in denial of the obvious.

While Sonny Dickson has provided authentic images in the past, these seem to be mock ups as the proportions etc are out of whack. Time will tell

Where's the Antenna?

That picture, whether a real product or not, will never be an iPhone. Jony and the rest of industrial design would love it, but unless the antenna team just produced the greatest antenna of all time, its not happening.

Basically, if you look at the back of the iPhone 5/5S, you can tell there needs to be separation between the metallic backside to give the antennas room to "breathe". And we're not talking just WIFI, it'll no doubt have GPS+GLONASS, LTE (4G), UMTS (3G), GSM (2G), and on and on and on. Plus a diversity cellular antenna.

If you look at the back of the HTC One, you can see how important a gap is to define the antennas.

Hence, without space for an antenna, that product would just be a brick.

The perspective on the screen in the second photo is off. The shell diverges and the screen converges.

I agree that the gold is fake but the silver is an actual prototype.
