If this is truly legit Apple will have it pulled pronto!

If history does in fact repeat itself & this leak is proven to be the real deal, Apple will get this & all other leaked images & descriptions yanked as soon as their legal teams gets up & running tomorrow, Monday, morning.

The design of iOS 8 and the hardware of iPhone seems to be getting uglier. I think Jony has lost his touch. Those breaks on the back make the iPhone look cheap.

But, you would have said the same thing no matter what it looked like.

Jony was noticeably absent from the WWDC Keynote. I was expecting one of his white-background videos.

He's not always at WWDC unless there is a project release. WWDC was not a design release - it was mostly developer focused. I think this was on purpose to be honest. Divert any attention from him etc to what was important and this was a big important release for developers.

I wonder if we can get macrumors to instigate a troll button. If you think someone is a troll the more the get pushed up they may get banned.

I am all for any sort of debate, Android / windows owners but all this paid troll negative rhetoric Psycho babble"Cook has lost it" "Ive's can't innovate" and all the other 1 sentence copied and pasted rubbish really does my head in. Let alone the homophobic stuff that luckily seems to have stopped.

Does it matter what it looks like? 9 out of 10 of you reading this comment would buy it sight unseen. What else are you going to get?

BUT if they do the antenna system go through the apple logo(like wifi in the iMac) they can make a seamless back

That might not be possible. The problem is that the points of the phone that collect or emit radiation must be as far away from the head as possible. So those antennae are usually near the bottom of the phone. I don't think the FCC would allow the cellular antennae to be located in the middle of the device. (iPads and iMacs aren't held up against the head for conversations.)

This may be a lighting problem, or the part didn't yet receive all the necessary polishing, but this shade of gold looks quite horrendous compared to the current one on 5s.

Maybe it's just me, who knows.

I'm betting that it hasn't got its color coating yet. Could be just raw metal or the undercoat/priming.

Do understand that macrumors want trolls to visit the site. Its called click revenue. And it would be boring if all that Macrumors talk about are Apple rumors. We have seen this rear case rumor at least 10 times. And just look at how much Samsung news died once the Beat rumors started. This site sees clicks like $ signs. Trolls bring the clicks.

iPhone 4/5 has not only at bottom antenna but at top as well...so more closely to your head, so in the middle of the device would be nice

Dear Jesus, please don't let those breaks be real. I wanna be sad to put a case on, for the beauty of the thing, not feel like it's necessary to cover it up.

Those breaks coupled with the fact that it's likely to have an inferior resolution to many of the Android phones coming out these days, makes for a less than exhilarating launch.

Yeah, I'm still getting one, cuz Android software annoys me. Just saying...

Keep in mind that they likely paint or coat the rear, likely hiding the breaks.

Is it just me that thinks that the back would look much better without those breaks?

It does look like giant pinstriping.

Yes, transmitting cellular antennas are usually at the bottom around the chin. (WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS up top, though.) However, the iPhone (along with other phones) also has cellular antennas up top. For example, here's an old 4S cellular SAR test result I had laying around:

Bottom antenna test:

Top antenna test:

Read the forum rules, including the Rules for Debate.

Of course, just because you disagree with somebody, does not necessarily make them a troll. It's usually better to matter-of-factly reply to them with facts, which both negates their post and educates others.

However, if you really truly believe that someone is trolling, click the red triangle on that post and report them to the moderators, who will decide if you're right and take the appropriate action. Same goes for anyone who throws out personal insults.

Those antenna breaks look so bad. Can't believe this would be a final design.

Noooooo, please don't let it be real :(

It's such a lazy design.

Front blown up to 4.7 inches with those massive bezels make it as big as the htc one m8 but with a smaller screen and no front stereo speakers.

The antenna break is super ugly. And the rounded design is uglier than the current one.

The homescreen will look something like this next to a 5s.
When the tall iPhone 5 came out everyone called it ugly, and now nobody thinks that because you get used to it.
Same with iOS 7.

Antennae

It's possible they aren't breaks at all but are instead antennae.

I think you are right. Rather than antenna breaks, those May be actual antennae and could be an application of LiquidMetal that we were not expecting. Essentially, they would be putting the antennae on the outside of the phone.

There's no pleasing people, is there. No matter what Apple does, there'll always be complainers.

:confused:doesn't this happen every year?I don't remember images being removed.

This is most likely the design.Everybody hating it now is going to love it when it's released. This has been happening sine the 4.

Damn you apple

Bigger screen + thinner shell = minimal if any battery life improvement. Why Apple. Why!!!

Exciting even though I'm getting the '6S' since my 4S got iOS 8 and I really love the 3.5" display.
