Weird, it’s almost like my 2020 iPad Pro doesn’t have it. Oh wait, it does. So yes, I have used it. Still extremely unnecessary, and something that the majority of users will never notice.

And a battery hog on top of that...

I am toggling that "feature" off as soon as I get my hands on my shiny Night Blue iPhone 12 Pro Max.

looks like only the Pro models will be 120 hz

They have to justify those price tags and Pro monikers with anything possible.

In my opinion there are more important things than 120 Hz refresh rate, such as battery life, no notch and multitasking windows.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple hides it away as far as possible, turns it off by default, makes it turn off when you turn on low power mode, etc. If the iPhone does have it, I highly doubt they’re going to make it very easy to use. At least until next year. When they can use LTPO technology, that’s when they’ll have it on by default.

no notch is still at least two years away, and as for multitasking windows, it will never happen.

The screenshots posted seem to include toggles. But yeah, removing customization options is something I can always count on from Apple.

Did you read my post? I said that if it’s included, it will be off by default. The majority of customers will never know that it’s even there. It won’t be on by default until they can dynamically adjust the refresh rate to help with battery life. So those who know it exist can go and turn it on, but for the majority, they’ll never know about it.

I am not really interested in the 120 refresh on the phone. It is too small to be of any real benefit, outside of scrolling at a hideously fast unreadable rate and then trying to brag to someone you have 120 refresh.

Prosser is like a little gnat that keeps flying around your face. You swat at it constantly but, it keep buzzing around.

weird, I’ve been using an iPhone for almost 10 years, and I’ve never had a problem with the scrolling. neither has anyone else I know or I’ve heard of who has been using an iPhone for the last several years.
Therefore, it is not a must. It is a want of yours
It is a "want" for sure, but its one of those things like once you experience it you can't go back. Like when the first Retina iPhone came out, it made my first gen iPad look like crap, I had never noticed the pixels before, and after all I could see was the pixels. High refresh rate is the same idea.

120Hz is a feature I'm pretty indifferent about. I have it on my new iPad Pro 11" and sure it's great things appear a bit more buttery smooth but... I don't know, it's just "meh" to me. I could take it or leave it personally, though I can understand why some people really would want it.

Besides the possibility of 120Hz screens, what other major upgrades will allegedly be over the 11 Pro? A 5G radio? LiDAR? Better camera with another lens? That's great and all, but nothing to truly "wow" me. The iOS/software capabilities seem more exciting at this point. Though I would absolutely love a larger capacity battery but we all know that ain't gonna happen.

Of course I still plan to upgrade from my 11 Pro, because, why not.

Prosser, what a fraud.

Some obvious issues there which Macrumors points out.
I don't trust Jon Prosser anymore.
It would be so hilarious if prosser got trolled again 😂

Sure, other than Max Weinbach, a pretty credible leaker, confirming it is real with a photo of an actual device...but sure, fake....

Realize most "leaks" dont see the light of day. Just because they dont come out publicly doesnt mean its not true internally and was accurate

This is the first time Apple referenced "Wireless fast-charge". Apple does not call 7.5W Qi wireless charging fast-charging. I am guessing and hoping for 15W Qi.
