AllThingsD Confirms Apple Will Release a Gold iPhone

Cant wait to get 128GB of that 😛 - However I do wish apple allowed the iPhone to be used like a mini computer ex when connected to TV via AirPlay or HDMI cable, it displayed full size browser, few other apps and possibly allowed for a bluetooth connected mouse in "desktop" mode (kinda like what the new Ubuntu smartphone [if released] is/would be capable....If Apple ever did that...we know they would do it the best with strong integration)

Right now When using AirPlay the app size on the screen is still crippled, its only good for listening music and watching movies really. Doing presentations, browsing the web etc, its crippled (Yes I understand at the end of the day iPhone is just a mobile device - its not a full blown Desktop but it has all the potential to deliver some of the basic features like that)
 
Love how a ton of people are moaning about this. If no one wants a gold iPhone, people will buy the White and Black iPhone... They'll get the message eventually. It's not like Apple are rumored to release it ONLY in gold.
 
I remember forever people in this forum bein negative of any changes, aspecially rumored changes. That said, I would not like to buy gold/champagne one but thanks to Apple there would be at least 2 alternative colours from which I can choose.

While Apple used colors to differentiate,
this time ...
Gold.
Paris Hilton will thank Cook a lot.
I hope to see a real NEW iphone
not an S,C..etc etc
an Iphone 6 and then a 7 and so on someday,
over this Rainbow.

You're a joke. You think NFC matters when ios7 brings in airdrop? AirDrop is so much better.
So all android has is the screen size? Okay.
Samsung = gimmick features

People should stop criticizing apples design options. We all know they know what they're doing when it comes to design. All color options do is give people more options.
 
It'd be funny if it turns out that Apple isn't actually releasing a new color, but that this is just a decoy and all of the bloggers are missing out on actual changes because they're too busy noticing this.

But I doubt that'll be the case. I'm okay - I like this color. Probably will be sticking with slate, but I can see this making a good color for some people (caucasians, even - not strictly africans and asians.)
 
I won't judge it until I see it. i typically buy black iPhones, but I could do something different for a year if it's nice.
 
The original "gold" colours looked like dark mustard colour - it was hideous. Gold in its natural colour is hideous, whereas champagne is lighter but still look sophisticated and stylish and fashionable. Maybe they should have called it iBling 🙂
 
Still not sure what I think about this. I think white/silver is still more elegant and there's a possibility the gold option will look tacky. But if it is more of a champagne I guess that would be okay. It's nice that we'll have premium colours and cheapo green, blue, red 5C colours.
 
I guess all you North American folks do not notice all the gold-ish colored newer model automobiles buzzing down the roads every day...many people, even in North America, love this color.

Let us all try and keep the racist statements to ourselves, please.
 
I'd buy one in Hello Kitty pink if they've fixed the anodizing process to make it a little more scratch resistant.
