Same. I have a dainty ass wrist and got a small alpine loop. Once on wrist it’s fine but fitting over my hand is a challenge.

I'm a 175-180mm wrist. I ordered the L which fits but the hook is pretty close to the end (6 or so away?).
The M is perfect - loop is right around the center of the band. There is less play between the two straps as with this sizing.
So you are happy with the medium? I have 177 mm (7") wrist. I ordered in medium but now after reading these, I am not sure if medium was the best choice. Some say you scratch the watch when taking the band off, other say you scratch your MacBook when typing. Did you come across these issues?

I use a desktop mostly, though I haven't run into this issue with my MacBook Pro - I'm not on it enough to give a definitive answer. Also Ive have stuck to the Ocean band for everything including running and exercise since I first posted this. My Ocean band has the metal loops in the center though and they have caused no issues on my MacBook Pro the few times I've used it.
