Already $800 off on Amazon [UPDATE: Discount no longer offered]

I only ordered one and Amazon is going to honor it. I got the 13" with out the touch bar but still no ship date. How much were the other ones?
 
Pretty awesome that they're honoring the price. You'd be hard pressed to find another major retailer that would do the same.

Also, I always assumed if the price of a preorder went up on Amazon before shipping that's what you'd end up paying, but quick search revealed I was wrong:

For Physical Items:
Whenever you pre-order a physical item displaying the “Pre-order Price Guarantee” message on the product detail page, the price we charge when we ship it to you will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.com between the time you placed your order and the end of the day of the release date.

I am so disappointed I missed this by a couple of hours. If anyone feels regretful about their 15" purchase let me know.
 
Geez Amazon is ridiculous. This isn't even a customer service issue. If they had canceled it and gave us $25 GCs, we'd be on our merry way.

That being said, Merry Christmas from Amazon!

The 15" MBP Space Gray was actually available for a brief moment at $1,299. I placed an order which ultimately got cancelled. Amazon honors an $800 pricing error but not a $1,500 one apparently.

Volume pricing for amazon makes up the cost of the discount.. in fact they'll still make a profit.. but this can also mean Black Friday deals on this will be available.
 
Awesome I got the email too. Not sure if I'm gonna keep it or sell and get 300 off the touch bar version yet either way an awesome deal congrats everyone
