In his facts section he says that all instock orders ship within 24 hours. So they should go out tomorrow. I just hope they meet the high expectations they he set when he talked about the signal and gps. He went into 2 different other cases threads and kinda talked about how good his case works. Guess in a few days we will see if it meets the hype.

I just hope he has stock, I really don't want to wait 2 months to get my case, but I'm order 191 and ordered a yellow, I'm now wondering if this will work With sgp carbon backing, since I wanted a yellow backing and I assumed he would have stock for opening of the website, but I guess not
I'm guessing that a lot of "order numbers" were used up during the actual testing of the site, since the poster below was able to actually get an order into his shopping cart way back on the 5th of October when the site accidentally went live for a bit (page 12 of this thread), and his order number was 152. I'd say yesterday's orders began somewhere in that number range then.
Now the main question is... how long before: "Order Status: Awaiting Fulfillment" turns into shipped? I don't expect an answer from Alumacase as he got hit by the banhammer, but anyone else hear word of the time frame from either Alumacase's twitter or Facebook or any correspondence with them?
What exactly is the appeal of this case? It looks much like many of the bumpers available, and doesn't look as nice as the apple bumper.
The vapor looks different, and that's what gives it the appeal it has. The alumacase just doesn't stand out to me.

I like it because, unlike the bumper, it is a solid material, and since it's aluminum will give a more "solid" feel. In addition, I dig the way the carbon fiber backing looks next to the case colors. I dig the single color, as opposed to the "dual color" style of most of the element vapor/atomic cases.
In addition, and most compelling, it's an aluminum case that (if we take aluma and his photos/vids for face value) does not impact reception and appears to know what customer service is.

I do like the alumacase and was pretty close to buying it, but I sort of agree with you. Vapor looks different and has those color combinations to help make it different. Unless I missed it, alumacase doesn't have that. Even if it did I'm not sure I'd like two diff colors vertically as I do horizontally.
I do think it's a nice case, I just won't be buying it most likely.
I had emailed with alumacase early on and I believe the intention is to sell upper and lower halves separately eventually, so mixing and matching can be done. As you said, however, it will be vertical.
If the top/bottom half weren't straight cut it might be a more interesting prospect for those looking for something unique...in other words, instead of being cut straight across the case, have the right side cut closer to the bottom, left cut closer to the top - that would give it that slightly "non symetrical" look, and make a mix-up of colors more interesting.
I would love to see if they could make this particular case in a "fade" anodizing...i.e. fade from red to black as you move up the case. I know that fades were possible when anodizing paintball guns back in the day, so I'd assume it would be possible with these also.
Yes, they plan on selling individual parts of the case as replacements/so you can mix and match..in fact, they already have that available. If you look in their store section under "Replacement Parts", you can already order individual upper and lower case halves in all the colors.
You are correct sir - I saw the image coming soon bit and did not look any further into it.
Think I'll still reserve ordering more parts until I'm happy with the first case...first step of making me happy will, of course, be to see it actually change to "shipped" today
I just got a email from alumacase and they said that they wouldn't be shipping until Thursday!! What happened to the same day shipping crap??

What color did you order? Wonder if maybe they'll just be running short of certain ones due to popularity...I ordered the grey, so I'm hoping they'll get that out quick

Exactly, and I ordered black and my order number was higher than anyone on here has posted yet so obviously they weren't ready to go. What a bunch of BS!! Another all talk company.
I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt for now. I'll give them till Thursday...but if for any reason the thing doesn't ship, I'm out, and they get a big thumbs down from me. My guess is that they have plenty of stock, but not enough hours in the day to pack and ship (though you would still think at least SOME would have gone out today).
Bottom line, long as it's in the mail before Friday sun-rise, I'll keep an open mind. I get pushed beyond that, I'll cancel it and continue my eternal wait for elementcase (I have an atomic billet being delivered tomorrow, but my assumption is that it will be going back in a hurry since they have pissed me off repeatedly throughout that process)

I know it's not a big deal - however it does mean that they've already made a promise on which they couldn't deliver.
Like I said, as long as it ships out on Thursday I'm not going to make a big thing out of it, but I've been down this road before (if you find the atomic billet thread, my problems are well documented at this point).
We shall see what happens 48 hours from now - either I'll be saying "OK good job at least getting it out when you said you would", or I'll be crucifying the crap out of alumacase
Wow, lets give him a break, New small business, There are always going to be wrinkles in the system, its only 3 days. I'll retract this statement if I dont see my case ship in a week. People here must think there ordering from Dell, or maybe its be canadian we have more patients
