Alumacase

I was waiting and waiting and waiting on Element CaseVapor while reading bad review after bad review. Glad I found this post about Alumacase and I'm sold on it! Can't wait to get my order in!!!!
 
Yeah, the black looks great! AlumaCase, since you're using the case how's it doing against the scratches?

I like silver color (which is the natural color of the aluminum) Is the silver case also anodized or just brushed?

I would like to see pics of the inside of the case and the non-conductive material.....to see exactly what, and how much of the iPhone4's metal band it will actually touch??? I would hate to have it scratch my phone like the Bumper crap apple sells. Pics of the inside would only add that much more good credibility to this Alumacase. Top, bottom, sides, and so on.... Thanks and this case so far is looking exellent in Gunmetal with the 2x2 weave backing:apple:

So when you just put the case on the phone, it shouldn't change the reception much, but when you hold it, the aluminum disperses the signal along the aluminum and no matter where we hold it, it our hands will absorb some of the signal??? Pablo, i am sorry, at this time we chose not to disclose our design until we fully launch our site, which is very soon. We want to fully launch professionally. The iphone will not touch the sides of the case as we have lined the inside inside with a special material. Don't worry about scratches, our prototype phones are good as new after heavy testing use, pulling it off and on and heavy usage.

I get it, just a little jab. But i am curious about the pricing, earlier it was stated that the case would sell for $74.99 + $13.99 for the carbon, is that still standing? I have seen it posted that the pricing was going to be lower to enable people to have multiple colors to choose from.

This is what I was wondering as well. You (alumacase) posted over in the Atomic thread that the cases would be priced so that we could hopefully afford to buy several colors. At $75 each, I'm not too sure of who will be able to justify more than one! LOL
 
i'm curious as to how much bulk this will add to the phone...

i like my pixelskin hd because it's quite slim.

I will be watching, I hope you guys can deliver. I have dibs on the first pink one. An idea though, make your hex tool into a keychain and that would be better. Wont lose it and always have it with you.

I am still waiting to see this thing in action! Does the GPS work correctly with this case? Have you actually taken it out and tried it in a moving vehicle?
 
That looks like a sweet case, but does it raise up from the front panel? Like, does it lift the screen off a table when it is placed face down? It looks almost flush with the front, but maybe its just a funny angle. Its extremely important that the case raises the front off a flat surface, it greatly helps prevent scratches


Still though, sweet case. When do you guys ship them out?
 
Alumin-man - I know this is dumb and picky so (others) don't jump all over me.. BUT...are you English or something?

Just trying to figure out your use of the word "worst". I thought it was just an error in your post but it was in there twice ( I would have expected "worse"). I then checked out your FB page and it was used again there. Shouldn't it be ".. doesn't make it worse."?

Agreed.. wondering about a "lip" on the front side to raise the glass a bit if laying facedown.
 
Hi Alumacase.

Not sure if this has been asked yet but will you have a system in place so Macrumors posters can be alerted via email when your product is ready for purchase. Also,will you be offering any sort of Macrumors discount coupon code for launch? It seems from what I've read and have seen you are producing a great product. You won't find better publicity or interest anywhere else. If we like your stuff people will never hear the end of it.
