*sigh* Tomorrow my phone will be 2 weeks old. Never, ever, damaged any of my iPhones.
Went to a wake for one of my friends. In parking garage. Concrete floor. Bent down (as I had been smelling an antifreeze smell) to see if the truck was leaking and *BOOM* - my 64GB SG slides out of my pocket. Face first onto the floor.

That's likely about 2' with me being stooped down the way I was.

So, all of these you tubers doing 30' saying no damage? Heh. Sorry, I'm calling BS.

The SG frame is marked up as well. Have an appointment booked at the Apple Store for 5:30pm ET.

And the pictures:

So, needless to say, these are very delicate indeed.

Created this thread to let everyone know just HOW delicate. :)

Edit: Yes, I have AC+

Another guy here smashed his as well and purchased Apple Care + after in store, and they replaced the phone.
[doublepost=1510951741][/doublepost]At least your screen brightness and tone is even haha j/k.

Running naked. Yep, a case may have saved it (as I said....landed face first...didn't see any pebbles underneath it when I picked it up, so the lip of a case may have saved it from damage.

Yep, I’ve heard this many times before that “I go naked because I never dropped my phone”. But accidents do happen and that is why they call them accidents. I hope you go get a nice case and screen protector.
Well, I have the Apple silicone case I grabbed previously (figured I'd throw it on if/when something horrible happened). Certainly didn't think it would be this soon.

Screen protector? Heh. Never. :)

Heh (per the brightness/tone comment). The prior part though - we keep hearing about stores doing that - they certainly shouldn't be - that's actually insurance fraud. AC+ is underwritten by an insurance company, not Apple.

I run a bumpered case on my 8 Plus... and ran the same style case on my 6 Plus and 6s Plus over the last 3 years... as seen here.

I've dropped it many times over the last 3 years on the concrete floors at work at distances up to 4 ft.

Never a scratch... never a dent... never a cracked screen. All surfaces of the phone are protected and the lip prevents it from landing directly on the screen.

Who needs Applecare when you can just buy an $8.99 case I tell people. I've never bought Applecare... and never needed it either. Saved a bunch over the years with these cases.

Well, then he woulds have to use a bumper that looks like that.

The expensive phone should be protected with a case. If you want to preserve its beauty so you and others can admire it, you should get a clear strong case, the highest quality one like otterbox.

It broke, so what? You’ve got apple care + so it will be as good as new. Using a case spoils the feel of the phone. If it breaks so be it, just make sure you’ve got insurance :)

What do you do if you drop it badly, TWICE!

Never damaged any of my iPhones in the last 9 years and never bought the insurance. Sure, it could happen to me tomorrow but I will still be way ahead.

I am sorry for the OP’s loss! It could happen anytime, but I refuse to use my X with no case. Nothing against those who will not use a case, it is every person’s choice.

Life is full of choices.

How do others admire it when it is encapsulated in plastic?
