2g

I'm keeping my mint condition beautiful aluminum backing 2g. I have no need to upgrade, for it serves me well. I love it. It works well, why change it?

Perhaps if they had a 32G with a 5.0 Megapixel cam, then maybe... again I said maybe..... 2G Rulezzzzzzz

ok, after todays debacle, i took some calls on my iphone, had a play on the wireless itunes store and also watched a vid. I then realised that the phone was great already and that really i don't need the new 3g one so badly i have to have it on Friday. So i am simply going to hold off and just upgrade the software to Iphone 2.0 on Friday when its out. Then hang on till the 32gb version turns up

It feels like a revelation, but i feel good now i have suddenly realised i don't need that 3g like Apples hype tells me i do. anybody feel the same and also feel we all get hyped up so much to buy the things that Apple shove in front of us we then become totally focused and do not put these things in perspective. IE my current Iphone does all i want it to, just becuase there is a faster one does'nt mean i need to buy it. Anyone else??????????????

After "everyone" with a 2g upgraded to 3G last year, and "everyone else" is upgrading now.... yes, you might be the last person with a locked 2g.

Yeah it's tempting but I have GPS unit, nice little HD camcorder/camera in my car all the time. I don't see me using voice control ever. I had it on my samsung and never used it. A2DP support is nice thou. I'm happy with EDGE speed since I don't do much except emails and sutff. No reason to shell out 199 +15 extra/month. I'm waiting for next case design update.:)

count me in ....but i keep thinking everyday i should go for the 3gs for the fact that will be my first 3g network phone...but then i keep thinking Apple might come with a better product next year and all 3gs owners will be longing for one...and cannot upgrade until we are rich enough to spend another 200 dollars...to get the new one...

I do like my 1st gen iPhone...Its great...The only complaint I have is not receiving calls when i am on the internet. I can live with the speed of the network...and I dont have to tell you guys how screwed up is ATT...but I have learned to live with that too.

I give you 2g guys a lot of credit. You are some faithful guys and my friends with 2g phones are just like you all. They are sticking with their phones for another year.

If you all are happy, more power to you all. Stick to it.

I'm sticking with my 2G, but, tbh, if I lived in an area w/ 3G service, I'd likely switch. I don't mind paying Apple for the phone; I DO think it's "worth it"; I just don't wanna have a monthly AT&T bill that'll be ~$18 more (w/ taxes) than I'm currently paying. Since there is no 3G here, I just don't use data all that much...I'd feel like I'm paying more, but not really getting more as far as the service itself goes.

it's worth the upgrade from the 2G I promise you.

+1 you are absolutely correct. while i love the metal back....and HATE the plastic (too many tiny scratches). the speed bump makes it all worth it....im loving it! AND i sold my 2g on ebay for $215! So i only paid $3 for my 3Gs :D yay!

...now back to my woot-off watching :p
