So I was watching case reviews on Youtube (what's new?) and saw a review of the silicone case.. I know it's cheaper than the leather, but do y'all think it's actually worth it? Or is the couple dollars more for the leather case the best way to go? I'm probably gonna have like 6 cases for my phone within the first month.. lol

----------

Social Pro is one of the grippiest, because 1.) a good grade of TPU and 2.) the molded ribs on the sides of the case. Waaaay less likely to drop the phone when using a Social Pro.

I was just looking up this case.. seems like it has a nice grip and super cheap too.

If you decide on getting the ZooGue Social Pro, use coupon code BESTDEAL. It'll give you 15% off. Total will be $10.48 shipped.

Since getting the Candyshell Grip, the obsession is officially over. I've boxed up my other cases and stuck them on a shelf. They will become nothing more than "bonus extras" when it eventually comes time to sell the 6.

I like my Candyshell Grip but I'm ready for a thinner alternative. Although I bet I'll probably switch back and forth to it.

The UAG and the Candyshell grip are my favorites. I bought an Incipio NGP from Amazon since it was only $10 to try and find something thinner. I like it but the added protection of the UAG and grip outweigh the thinness to me. The weight is super close between the 3.

Lol... I thought the same thing. But after a few weeks, I made the mistake of visiting this subforum and as a consequence, leather cases has piqued my interest.

The Candyshell Grip is still my favorite, especially the grip despite the increase in size and weight. Like others, I'm also looking for something thinner, but will most likely still use Candyshell Grip.

Yes this! If you really want to stop buying cases, reading this subforum will not help your cause.:D

That is ALWAYS the best advice, when it comes to anything. I'm also a guitarist, and any visit I make to a guitar pedal effects forum, and BAM, I'm suddenly interested in buying another pedal that I suddenly feel I need, even though minutes before I knew nothing of it's existence.

If I have any cravings for thin, I'll keep my Luvvitt Clearview around. I think I'm just in love with the color of the Moss Green Candyshell. I like color, but subtle and subdued. With the clear cases, I went from thinking I hated them, to kind of liking them, to finding them sort of boring.

The obsession is real bro...

iPhone 6 Plus:
Apple Leather case - rockin it now
Apple Silicone case - returned it b/c it was too "grippy/gummy" feeling
Spigen Air Cushion - overall good case but buttons were not sensitive enough
Spigen Neo Hybrid - good protection but made the phone feel huge
Incipio NGP - good protection, button sensitivity is not great, but not bad
Caudabe Veil - super minimal, sometimes I switch to this when at home
Ringke Slim - slim, protects bottom of phone, BUT material is too slick
Spigen Thin Fit A - returned b/c no protection for top or bottom

Eyeing:
Shumuri Slim Extra
UAG Case

So basically I won't be stopping anytime soon until I find "the one" so more cases here I come! The ones closest to being the one are the Apple Leather case and the NGP. If the Apple case covered the bottom, it could've been near perfect. NGP needs to slim down just a tiny bit and make cut outs for the buttons instead of covering them.

I'm the same with with all my phones. I am almost liking the Incipio NGP but I've been looking at the Shumuri Extra and Caudabe Veil XT as my next case.

I have a ZooGue Social Pro in clear frosted and a Magpul Field Case in clear frosted on the way. I'll post some pics when they arrive. :)

Haha I'm sure in a month or two I'll be having a long list like you do.

Shumuri Slim Extra , I recommend that one . I had the power support but I feel like this one better, just hits the spot .

Lol I'm also obsessed with buying cases. My 5s had 25 cases when I bought the 6, and now I already bought like 7 cases for it, one of them is the leather case which I usually keep in the box, and use it occasionally so in doesn't get dirty#:D

Honestly, this thread kind of gave me a good idea; we should put together a MR used case club and share the expenses instead of all of us spending 300-400 each. If we got a circle of members say even just 10 of us and we all agreed to buy 1 or 2 each of all the most popular ones we will all try anyway, and once we decide its a no go on a case, send out a thread notification it's available and standard shipping will only cost total about 30-40 bucks 8-10 trips to the post office and we can all rotate them LOL. Obviously, if there was a case we wanted to keep for good like the Apple leather case, we'd just buy it outright and not put it into rotation but for cases we are all interested in but not committed to keeping we could give it a try, especially for ppl who live a ways away from a BB/Apple store etc. I know it sounds funny but I know I would have appreciated it for the 5 and 5S since I went through (at least):

2 Apple leather cases
At least 3 ElementCase Bumpers Vapor Pros and Comps
12South BookBook
12South SurfacePad
invisibleShield Orbit
Vaja La Pelle
3 Mophie's
Otterboxe Resurgence
Moshi clear case
Castillo Davarg leather folio
Sena Ultraslim sleeve
Belkin Lego case
Tech 21 orange/clear case
Otterbox Symmetry
Otterboxe Defender
Kate Spade case (wife's girly one)
Speck Candyshell (wife's girly one)
Incipio Feather
Lifeproof Fre (wife's girly one)
And there must have been more!?!?

And now for the 6 I've already gone through:

Speck Candyshell grip
Apple leather case
Incipio DualPro Edge
Sena Ultraslim Heritage
CaseMate leather wallet, returned

But decided I'm done. Sick and tired of returning and spending tons unless we could get something like this in motion. Just a thought lol

What were your thoughts on the Speck Candyshell grip and Incipio DualPro Edge?

Once I landed on the UAG Scout Case paired with the Tech Armor Ballistic Tempered Glass I have been pretty content. But the itch in me has me wanting to buy another case. I have been looking at the Supcase TPU w/the clear back. Any here have any experience with that case?

I know is real too! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1423666959.358754.jpg

How is it as far as protection? I mean, I know it's meant to be minimalist/naked phone feel, but if it is just a tiny bit thicker than the Caudabe Veil, I'd be all over that! (the Veil was just too thin for me for everyday use - I only use it at home)

Also, how long did it take for you to receive the Shumuri?

TIA

Well, in that case, you're not going to like this one then . It's basically the same as the Caudabe veil but it has protection all around . If you want a little more protection give power support a chance . Sounds like the case for you actually.

Aw, that sucks. Was hoping for a little more thickness.

I might just give the Power Support case another try. The matte finish felt good, protection all around the phone, and thin. The only thing that bugged me was how hard it was to remove the case and put on the case (b/c I have a skin on the back and sides of my phone). But I may end up taking off the skin on the sides of the phone (leaving the back skin) and trying the PS case again. Thanks!

After reading this thread, I don't feel so bad having multiple cases anymore! hah!
