Aw, that sucks. Was hoping for a little more thickness.

I might just give the Power Support case another try. The matte finish felt good, protection all around the phone, and thin. The only thing that bugged me was how hard it was to remove the case and put on the case (b/c I have a skin on the back and sides of my phone). But I may end up taking off the skin on the sides of the phone (leaving the back skin) and trying the PS case again. Thanks!

After reading this thread, I don't feel so bad having multiple cases anymore! hah!

Yeah , I have a lot too , but so far , I'm rocking the Shumuri case and tempered glass .couldnt be any happier . Finally feel satisfied with a set up lol.

I should finally be getting my leather case tomorrow so I'm stoked about that. Probably going to switch between that and Candyshell Grip, until I find more that I like of course.

Well, in that case, you're not going to like this one then . It's basically the same as the Caudabe veil but it has protection all around . If you want a little more protection give power support a chance . Sounds like the case for you actually.

Thanks to this thread, I was inspired to venture out and search for a case tonight that could be "the one" for me, and I found it! I never would have thought it'd come from Best Buy's Insignia brand either. In the past Insignia cases have been meh for me at best. But this one definitely fits the criteria I've been looking for.

It's very slim but not paper thin (thick enough to protect the camera protrusion), it provides protection on the bottom, there is good grip (due to textured pattern - see pic), port cutouts are 99% aligned, and the button sensitivity is great!

Looks like my Apple Leather case goes into the drawer as backup and loses the top position. Here are some pics.

Haha.. I really liked this case too when I tested it at best buy. Like you said, nice slim case with good texture. The "grips" on the sides actually really help. The only reason I didn't pick it up was the Speck Candyshell happened to be on sale for half off at that time, but otherwise I would have picked up this insignia one.

Strangely (at least at my Best Buy), only the blue and purple one had that grippy, textured sides. The black one was completely smooth.

What were your thoughts on the Speck Candyshell grip and Incipio DualPro Edge?

SORRY NEVER SAW THIS!?

Candyshell Grip is really an overall great case. Plenty of grip, isn't a lint magnet, fits perfectly, however, a bit too thick for what I'm looking for.

The Incipio DualPro Edge was my favorite case as far as looks and fitting went and by far the best feeling case BUT it was ultimately just barely a bit too slick (small hands iP6). Almost the perfect case. If they put a tiny bit of rubber gripping on the edges I bet it would still be on my phone.

Ah, I probably would have done the same thing if Speck was on sale too.

lol - same thing at my Best Buy man. Blue was grippy (didn't even have purple) and black and clear was slick and seemed thicker, didn't like it.

I see thanks!

I just got my Apple leather case finally and I love how it feels in the hand and how thin it is. I think this is going to be on my phone for awhile until I find something that beats it. :apple:

Looks a lot lot like the black no logo one I got at monoprice.

After confirming with Magpul CS they do indeed make a clear case, I purchased one from an authorized dealer. I also purchased a ZooGue Social Pro. The Magpul was $15.25 shipped. The ZooGue was $10.48 shipped.

Here are my initial impressions and photos, before I try them on my 6 Plus. When I have a moment later to try them on the iPhone, I'll post pics then.

The quality and feel of both cases are excellent. The grip on both cases is great, with the Magpul having a slightly better grip imo. The finish on the Magpul is unique. It's kind of smooth type grittiness, if that makes sense. The grip on the ZooGue relies on a nice ribbed design on the sides. The Magpul is a bit more clear and frosted. The ZooGue is a white frosted, being less clear. The finish on both cases is matte and does not attract fingerprints.

The Magpul is slightly thicker and slightly heavier than the ZooGue. You can see and feel this with each case in your hand. When I saw the ZooGue package, I thought they sent me a case for the 6 and not 6 plus. It's a real sleek looking case. The Magpul appears to me that it would do better job with drop protection, but ZooGue does have a video on YouTube showing them tossing it around on a granite floor, with phone in case.

Without seeing both in cases yet, the ZooGue will probably be more for minimalists and the Magpul for those that feel protection is at the top of your list. Both are great cases. Anyway, here are some pics. :)

Here's my take on the Magpul Field Case and ZooGue Social Pro. First the ZooGue and next the Magpul.

The ZooGue Social Pro is a terrific case. I can see this one being in anyone's lineup of cases and even their number one case.

The phone popped into the case without issue. The fit was absolutely amazing and precise. No movement anywhere. I was extremely impressed. The TPU they use in this case, to me, appears to be a higher quality versus other TPU cases I've used.

All cutouts are precise and spot on. All buttons work nicely and without issue, but not better than the Magpul Field Case. This is not to say they didn't work properly, because they did. The Magpul is that good with it's buttons. More on that later.

The camera cutout is high enough to protect the camera lens, so you can lay it on a table and not worry about your camera lens. It has a generous lay on the table lip around the phone, so you can lay it on it's screen without issue as well.

The feel of this case is superb. It has slightly ribbed sides and a matte finish that make it quite grippy. The case is thinner than my Tech21 Evo Mesh. The finish also withstands fingerprints, which I really like. My Tech21 Evo Mesh cases, while very nice, are fingerprint magnets.

I'm not so sure about drop protection. I'm sure it's good, going by ZooGue's demonstration on YouTube. When the Magpul is on, I feel that it would do a better job in this department. The only way to find this out is drop the phone, but I'm not going to test that out. :D

If you're looking for more of a minimalist case, that will protect your phone a bit better than other xtremely thin cases, the ZooGue Social Pro is an excellent choice and an excellent value for around $10 bucks.

Don't let that price fool you, this one is done with great quality. I really can't believe the price. It's an incredible value!

Nice! What's the exact name for it?

Here's my take on the Magpul Field Case.

I put the ZooGue Social Pro on first. My thoughts at that time were, the Magpul Field Case has plenty to live up to after experiencing the ZooGue case. The Magpul Field Case met the challenge, which impressed me thoroughly. I can see this one being in your case lineup and very possibly your number one case.

The phone popped into the case, with no movement anywhere. It has a nice tight fit. I was extremely impressed by the fit and finish of the Magpul. It does have a slightly larger form factor than the ZooGue and this could push some folks to a thinner case.

I wouldn't call this case overly bulky at all. I would call it the perfect combination of protection and thickness in a case. I have large hands, so it felt great in my hands.

All cutouts were perfect and precise.

The buttons are truly amazing. I've never experienced a case with buttons so perfect. It's like you're using the actual buttons on the phone. They are extremely clicky, with no rubbery feel you've experienced with other TPU cases.

The camera cutout is very generous, so your camera lens will be very well protected. The case also has a very generous lip around the front of the phone, so you'll have an excellent lay on table design both ways.

The feel of this case is superb. It has smooth gritty design all around the case, with generous ribs. All this makes it very grippy. It also withstands fingerprints, which I really enjoy. My Tech21 Evo Mesh cases, while very nice, are fingerprint magnets.

In regards to drop protection, I think the Field Case would protect your phone well from more significant drops. More so than a much thinner case, like the ZooGue and others. Imo, the trade off for more protection is a slightly larger form factor. I have no issues with that, as long as the phone is well protected.

If you're looking for an excellent case, that will protect your phone from larger drops, has great grip and has the best buttons in the business, you can't go wrong with the Magpul Field Case. I picked it up for around $15, which is an excellent value for this case.

Nice!! It looks sturdy but grippy at the same time.

Clear cases, for me, need to have branding that does not interfere with the Apple logo. Magpul clear does. But it's not as egregious as UAG Maverick, with it's large silver UAG overlapping Apple's logo. The solution for me is to go with an opaque color.

I noticed that, but it really doesn't bother me and you can still see the Apple logo.

It would be nice if they moved the embossed logo lower, but changing the mold for just the clear probably wouldn't make sense.

Haha omg! Nice upgrade though! Was it worth the upgrade? I'm rocking a 5c and upgrade due November. Pondering whether to go 5s or 6.. 6 plus may be a little too big for me I think!

If you're eligible in November you might as well get the 6S if it's out in the fall! But if you want the 6, still a good phone.
