Well I consider myself a pretty good typer and I find the MB/MBA keyboard pretty easy to use and easier than my old iMac G5 keyboard but I don't know how good it is to play games on though.

I like everything from the MBP except the keyboard. A MBP shell with the MBa keyboard without the black key's would be perfect.
Personally, I like the MBP keyboard more than the MB keyboard. Hopefullykeeps the current keyboard on the MBP.
Maybe the option of which keyboard you want with it when you built it, or buy it at an Apple Store.
While I've become used to the chiclet keyboard on both my MacBook and my wireless keyboard, I have to say I much prefer the current MBP keyboard. I was browsing our wedding pictures on a MBP from our photographer the other night and it was fantastic. So much so I have talked my wife into getting a new MBP and giving her my MB...and I'm not sure I want to wait for Tuesday.
The same reason Sony did. It's, wait for it...as much as many people do not want the chicklet style keyboard on the macbook pro. I think it's safe to say from the rumors and leaks that the MBP will have one.
I've used both keyboards for a long period now and to be honest i don't have a problem with either.
And that for me raises an important question: why does Apple want to transition everything to the chicklet style keyboard? I don't see any advantage it has over the macbook pro keyboard really.
And if they did it because it's better to type on then OK..at least there is a valid reason.
But i don't see any. Again, I am happy with either but just not sure why Apple would do it if it upsets a lot of people who don't like it.![]()
I just spent an hour typing on my friend's MBA. I found the MBA keyboard really annoying to use, it had that click that makes the whole computer feel fragile. Also, I realized that I'm not very precise on landing my fingers when I type fast; on the MBA my fingers would often hit the empty space between the keys. For example, in typing "reason" on my Macbook Pro, I essentially press down R-E-A simultaneously and just gently slide my hand towards the left, and voila "rea" gets typed in an instant. Think of it as similar to legato on the piano. But I have trouble doing that on the MBA keyboard. I don't actually press down and lift each finger.
I'm sure it will have the same obsession with thinness at the cost of performance, it will have VERY poor graphics for something that has a "Pro" in its title, it will be very hot, because it's so thin, and it will still be insanely overpriced.
You guys asked for it.![]()
