If the iPhone 6s+ had the glass back the iPhone 4 had, I wouldn' t have a case. The reason I have a case is to slightly help when it falls, but mainly to avoid slipping it out of my hands. I can't hold it without dropping it without a case, I use it while walking, biking, etc. I'd kill it within a month probably.

BUT, I honestly hate cases, well, that's strong. I really prefer no case. And I like simplistic design and feel, and look, i have the leather case, because it's thing, nicely designed, and feels great in the hand. It also keeps that professional look and doesn't turn it into some neon glowing big plastic laptop looking device. If i wanted an ugly phone i'd go with an old samsung or something.

If it was up to me i'd get a professional and custom wrap for it, but I switch out for a Moment lense once in a while, so i rather have the case come off rather easily. And it's just easier to clean this way.

I don't use screen protection, and i almost never drop the phone (mainly because the case prevents the slipping) and I am sure i will one day regret that, but since my first iPhone it's been good.

Anyway.. not a big case person.

I wish I could use the iPhone naked. It really is beautiful. However knowing me the minute I remove my case I'm gonna destroy it :(

Anybody using the Thule Atmos X3? How are 3rd-party lightning cables?

I'm trying to decide between the Speck Candyshell Grip (but I hate the gloss), the Presidio Grip (failed in their marketed 10-ft drop and almost everyone's rubber keeps falling off), and the Thule Atmos X3. I've just heard that it's terrible 3rd-party Lightning cables and I was kind of excited for using "easy to use" Lightning instead of microUSB. :(

I havent used the Thule, but have had the candyshell grip on other phones. I like the grip on it, but it's a pain to take on and off especially if you switch cases often.
[doublepost=1499604254][/doublepost]I'm really picky about wallet cases, but this one looks really appealing? Has anyone purchased it yet?

I too, am VERY picky when it comes to wallet cases - I have tried and looked at LOADS of them (at least 10 different kinds!!), trust me!!!

The 2 that I stuck with were:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/SHIELDON-L...=1499675909&sr=8-5&keywords=iphone+7+shieldon

and also:

https://www.hellonomad.com/leather-folio-wallet-iphone-7-rustic-brown

The problem that ALL wallet cases have is that in order to use the phone, you have to fold back the wallet part of the case, so that it sits behind the part which holds the phone. This then makes the whole wallet case VERY bulky to use.

Whilst it's true that it is very convenient not having to separately carry both a wallet and case, when the two are combined, they feel VERY bulky in the pocket (the Nomad I linked to above is a beautiful case however, it barely fits in my trouser pocket (especially when wearing denim jeans), when it is filled with cards). Also, many of these cases do not close properly when they are filled with cards - notice how in that Twelve South link you posted, where they have a video of the Journal case, notice how they do NOT show a segment where the case is lying on a table facing up, closed on its own - why? Because the wallet flap, would be protruding upwards because of the cards inside and will not sit flat with the case.

I agree with this, and when you go to take a picture the flap always gets in the way too. I like the convienience of it, but wish they were made better.

Some pics of the new Evutec case

Had my new Evutec case delivered today... case is still a little bit loose by the volume buttons, although nowhere near as bad as the AER case.

Case was also discoloured on the back, where the carbon fibre finish looked almost worn and faded. Shipped it back asap. Somewhere along the way since their iPhone 6 cases, Evutec forgot how to incorporate quality into their designs. Sad.

Well that’s disappointing.

Sorry to hear. And the one thing that sucks is their cases aren't cheap either. At least $45-50 from what I've seen.

This is why I won't buy another evutec. I've tried them twice and both times was disappointed. Rhino shield is the way to go IMO

Thinking about trying more caseology cases, or just taking the plunge with apple silicone/leather. Thoughts? I like the caseology designs.. something about them just looks so elegant to me.

Think I’m trying Rhinoshield again myself. I like those clear PlayProof cases. They have decent grip finally.

I haven't read anything about the clear playproofs but the carbon fiber solid suit is definitely much grippier than the standard play proof. Imo it is the absolute best case I've ever tried for the 7+, and I've had a lot. My 2nd favorite is still the apple leather case.

I must have missed your thoughts on it. I thought I read it was only a little better, and there were some QC issues.

It's a tight fitting case so probably not good for somebody who switches cases often but I haven't had any issues at all with it. It's not super grippy like a speck candy shell grip but it's good enough not to drop it.

Ive returned the cf solid suite due to almost no grip.

I am also into cases, just not a purse case, like my friend (male) has...lol

To each his own, I guess my idea of grip is pretty different from others. Just curious, what cases do you both consider to be"grippy"? The best grip case I've ever used was the Apple leather.

I actually find the Symmetry to have a better grip. I also am using a case I got at Disney World that has a far better grip too.
