iPhone X Am I the only one with a 9/21 preorder still showing order in progress?

I was able to get into the Apple store on my phone via their app right when it opened and grabbed a Silver iPhone XS 256 GB version and was fully checked out in three minutes. No surprise, I got an estimated delivery date of 9/21.

As of right now when I go into the Apple Store app, it still shows 9/21 delivery, but, it’s still stuck in “order in progress”.

I’m not freaking out as I assume the phone will still get delivered on Friday, however, I’m curious if others are experiencing this, or am I the only one?
 
Nope same here crazy thing is my lady ordered hers Monday and hers shipped I’m like ‍♂️
 
Two possible scenarios here..

1.) It has shipped and the site just hasn’t updated.

2.) They have a stash of phones in the US already in a distribution center and will ship those out tomorrow.
 
Same here...stuck in China since 9/16-9/17....and apple still says preparing to ship.... just waiting for UPS to drop some BS in da mix .... I hate UPS they r the WORST in my area that is
And yes UPS and apple have me in for 9/21 delivery

Mine still says preparing for shipment. But My UPS account has 2 incoming packages on 21st. My iphone and watch!
 
Apple.com never updates their website with shipping information until the package passes through customs. My bet is your phone has already shipped. Head to UPS.com, use the Search by Reference functionality, and enter the phone number associated with your order. Decent chance it'll pop up.

Mine does also but tracking shows its already in the USA. Log into Apple.com and grab your Order Number and head to the UPS tacking site...

https://www.ups.com/WebTracking/track?loc=en_US

Paste your Order Number into Track by Reference | Shipment Reference BUT remove the last to numbers. click track.

Mine has been in China since 9/16, at 8:39pm here in Charlotte, which means in Zhenzhou it’s 8:39am, if my phone haven’t left during their overnight hours by now, that can’t be good since they leave overnight
 
Don't know what you all are talking about. This must be an isolated issue all the post im seeing everyones have shipped for 9/21 and have departed for UPS in Kentucky. Anyone stuck on In Progress will likely be next week.
 
Mine has the 21st as delivery date, but it has been stuck on preparing for shipment for three days now. I am a bit troubled as I am not from the US, and if I don't receive it by the 21st I won't be back in the US for maybe a year. Hope there is not a delay or I will try to get a refund and wait for iPhone XI

Yes, you are the only person this has ever happened to this year.

I think those of us that are preparing for shipment or in progress will get its order delayed
 
My Apple Watch for the 21 still shows in progress on Apples website, however when I check my UPS I can clearly see that it has shipped and went from China to Alaska yesterday.

It seems like Apple waits a while (maybe after successful importation) to actually give you your tracking number, even when the device is actually on the move.

Mine shows preparing to ship on Apples site but like many who show that I have a tracking number, but shows still in China

Don’t know how they plan on doing it .... but they said 9/21 .... we will see

Having done this for almost 10 years now, you can generally trust apple to deliver when they say they will. And in many cases earlier than estimated. I have watched mine travel from China to Korea to Alaska to Louisville many any times. The Apple tracking is usually behind. And the UPS is not always 100% up to date. I've gone to bed the night before delivery and UPS showed my phone in Korea. Woke up in the morning and it was at my local UPS facility or already on the truck for delivery.

Mine is currently showing in progress on Apple, and in Korea in the UPS system for a 9/21 delivery.

Crazy to think that people still doubt a company like Apple and UPS to deliver.

You need to track by reference on ups site. Go to your order details from Apple and copy and paste your order number without the last 2 digits into the reference field on ups site. Then specify the destination country and your zip code and see what comes up. That’s how I found mine.
 
I'm the same. I purchased in Australia at 4 mins into the release. Order still says preparing to ship. I purchased the case separately and that arrived today. No mention of the phone. Has anyone else have this issues in Australia?
