iPhone X Am I the only one with a 9/21 preorder still showing order in progress?

I stayed up late the night they went on sale to pre-order my iPhone Xs MAX. Apple still shows mine is scheduled for arrival on Friday 9/21 HOWEVER this afternoon UPS tracking now shows scheduled delivery has been updated to Monday 9/24 end of dayWTF????

Soooo...now it's backwards...my UPS delivery status changed from Monday to Out for Delivery Today! However the Apple site says shipment delayed and they cannot deliver on the expected delivery date. I'm so confused!! Hopefully UPS delivery status is correct and it really is out for delivery today. We shall see.
