Guys I'm surprised some of you are not aware of this but dust/dead pixels on phones/tablets have been an ongoing issue ever since smartphones and tablets first came out...with any company! If it's a dust issue it usually happens when the product is being assembled, if it's a dead pixel issue well that's just a defective screen off the production line. When you buy a smartphone or a tablet you should ALWAYS inspect your screen when you get home, even if you have to use a dead pixel test app, I can assure you that most here who think they have perfect screens who have not done thorough testing will be disappointed if they were to do so now lol.
Even the iPad Air 2 now (which has the screen fused to the glass) still has dust issues...again it's not happening after your buy the device but it's happening during product assembly. 99.9% of the time when I buy a smartphone or a tablet I know I will be exchanging it, the odds are that bad!
Oh and to the guy who claims that people who demand quality for premium prices that we are "abusing the system" and that's why the items cost so much...really? So when Apple first joined the smartphone market they decided to charge 3-4 times what the item was actually worth because people want quality items when they pay premium prices? Actually it's you who is the fool...you spend that kind of money for devices and you just except the flaws in them...it's people like you who allow companies to continue their lack of QC because you just don't care and accept anything. Hey if you want to buy my devices from now on sure I'll just "except it"...be my guest lmao...
Also guys make sure to check the build quality (the externals of your devices) you would be surprised how many items right out of the box have scratches, bad buttons, dust behind camera lens, etc...for some reason companies can't seem to build phones or tablets without foreign materials getting between the screen and the glass when they are assembled, oh well. I'll just buy and return until I get my perfect device, that's the price you pay when you go into business and pump out sub-par quality products.
P.S. BTW I made this post on 6/27/15...not sure why the site is showing a date from years ago.
