I wouldnt say young I would say Spoiled, Precocious, Delusion, and probably a loner. Plus it doesnt make you cool to us cuz u have a "3G" (It's In Mommies Name). U Have nothing to prove. Get offline b4 ur the 40 Year Old Virgin.

Thats the best advice youve ever got. 😉

Um..someone's a little angry? Ha, wow. You seriously just told a 13 year old, to " Get offline b4 ur the 40 Year Old Virgin. " ??
Some people amaze me. 🙄

My thoughts exactly lol.

As for being too young, yes you are. Why... because you're asking us if you are. What's it matter what we think or anybody else? Seems to me like you're looking for attention or praise that you are 13 and own an iPhone. I'm 18, what does that mean in terms of me owning an iPhone?

too young?

My reflex response is that if you feel you have to ask if you are too young, then, you in fact are too young.

As a father, I am not so much concerned that you have a phone, but how you use it.

If you allow your parents to lock it with the parental controls to keep you out of areas that we know you will check out but shouldn't, that would help. The best way to prove you are not too young, is to use it responsibly.

I also agree, keep it in check so you don't end up a 40 year old virgin (and one whose only experience is in the virtual world).

Hey, you asked for the gift of feedback, and you got it.

Yeah I guess you are right about that, thanks dr. phil

Ok, so I waited in line July 11 at 3 AM for one and didn't get it. So I ordered one off eBay for $630, without contract, which saves money by using your current sim instead of paying $80+per month. It's my iPhone 3G, not my parents. And I got the 3G for my 13th birthday.

I'm not some dumb little brat that knows nothing about Apple or 3G and just wants some "cool new stuff", I know as much about this phone as everyone here, which is why I'm on this site in the first place.
You are to young too own a phone in general. And no you do not know as much as anybody else here.
So the real question: I just turned 13, am I too young to be an iPhone 3G owner?

You are to young to
Ps I'm typing this from my iPhone

You are to young too own a phone in general. No you don't know just as much as anybody else on here. The only reason you have made this theard is to brag. I know all about owning the new gadget. So don't get on this website and start saying " look at me I stayed up till 3am and didn't get a iPhone, so being a smart mature young adult I am, bought one off ebay so I wouldn't have to pay xx amount of money". Just take my advice research all about the gadget before you make such a big statement like " I'm as smart as all of you". I'm sure your probably in like 7th-9th grade.

Haha don't worry I have a life

I know everyone is used to different things depending on how one is raised, but parents and relatives giving a 13 year old $600+ for a birthday is seriously out of whack.

They need to stick it in a college fund or a trust fund instead.

I don't blame the OP one bit...he's a kid. I blame the adults in the family.

I didn't just make this just to brag and I did do all of my research on this gadget. I'm also smart enough to know people like you jump to conclusions too easily and take youth for granted. Remember, you don't know me. I could be a relative of Steve Jobs for all. You know.

So you take my advice: don't go judging me, because you don't know me. I could very well know as much as everyone on here, and I do think I know more than you

yet you are from Fairfield County and have an iphone! Never met a kid from fairfield county who WASNT a brat.. unless you were from Bpt.

haha no I'm definitely not from Bpt. Stamford/Greenwich is more like it, but c'mon I know alot of kids who don't get cars from their parents for their 16th birthday where I'm from, you just got to look past the majority.😀

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I meant to say with money I got FROM my birthday.

Nah. You're not too young. I'm thirteen too and I have an iPhone 3G that I purchased on the 11th after waiting four hours in line for it. In my opinion, there's no age limit that prohibits younger people from buying iPhones or other high-end electronic devices. Now maybe a seven-year-old with an iPhone is ridiculous, but thirteen is definately not too young.

Posted from my iPhone 3G. 🙂

who cares if ur to young. congrats u joined the 90 percent of people on this forum with a iphone. dont try to impress anyone on here if thats what this thread is about. enjoy it though its sick 😛

LMAO ... Funny ... And true!!

Who cares?

My question is what kind of company would allow a 13 year old to sign a contract? Considering a 13 year old couldn't be held legally to any contract they signed.

Of course I know 90% of people on here have one, which is why I posted it here! Im not going to post it on pugworld.com if it's about an iPhone

And like I said a million times before, I'm not here to brag.

I remember when i was 13. I thought i knew everything.

I know as much about this phone as everyone here

What type of coding language is needed to build iPhone apps?

Did Apple have any issues with the "iPhone" name itself? What company was involved? What was worked out so everyone was happy?

I doubt you know these things. Google isn't allowed.

So no, you don't know as much as everyone here.

Who cares? its a phone... a piece of technology- its not like you're asking if you're too young to be a father or watch an R rated movie or something sheesh. If you have one you do, and if you don't, then it's whatever😉 It's about the responsibility factor. If you're gonna be an idiot and lose it or break it then yes. If you appreciate that you were able to work for it and respect that then you're golden.

Just don't get too caught up with being on the cutting edge or outdoing people right now. Live like a spartan until your mid 30s [at least] (unless you win the $300m lottery) and you'll have a pretty awesome financial future. Then you can get an iPhone 27G and bluetooth it to your electric Ferrari that has zero emissions but still somehow sounds like a petrol-based sex-on-wheels machine like the current ones do.
