order date? 1.83/2.0?ouch said:I don't want to influence anyone either way but mine shipped today even though the estimated shipping date was May 1.
I just upgraded from the 1.83 to the 2.0. I have a March 10 ship date!brett4got said:Well, my order from Jan. 29th still show no update to the March 31st ship date (and no credit card activity) so I bit the bullet this morning and placed a second order for the same model (2.0) with a ship date of tomorrow (Mar. 10th).
I will probably try to call Amazon today before I cancel the original order just to make sure there is no new information that hasn't been updated online but I doubt this is the case since the CSR's seem to know less than what the website even shows.
This whole pre-ordering process has been extremely dissapointing.
Add it to your cart and you'll see the March 10 estimated ship date when you get to the final order screen.buzzing said:Just got this reply from Amazon.
I apologize for any misunderstanding about the delivery estimate for your order. We rely on Apple for release date information. Our most recent information was that the Apple MacBook Pro 15.4"
Notebook MA464LL/A will be released on March 20, 2006.
Once this item has been released and we receive it, we will be able to ship it to you. It is not uncommon for there to be a delay of several weeks between the release and distribution of a new item.
When your order is shipped, you should receive an e-mail message confirming the date, contents, and method of your shipment. As per our standard policy, we do not charge you for items until they enter the shipping process, so you will not be charged for this item until it is available and we have shipped it to you.
Thanks for shopping at Amazon.com

Thanks
