My university bookstore sells Macs tax free with the student discount, sweet! I am not sure how or why, but I am happy about it I have mine ordered, and will be getting it in a few days.

Im in the military and an apple sales at best buy. So I got the 200 off for apple price match on federal discount then used employee discount for geek squad.

The price dropping is making me jump on the 17...I was planning to get the 15 inch with HS and Anti-glare from Apple but the price of the 17 right now at Amazon is quite attractive. I wanted a matt screen but worried if I will regret my decision going glossy. Gotta make up my mind between the $2366 17 inch glossy and $2310 15 inch highend with AG.

You folks in the US should consider yourselves lucky that good deals on Macs can be so easily had.

Here in Canada, the only way to pay less than retail for a mac is to steal one.

Not a bad price at all. Amazon is usually good with crediting customers.

I mentioned this to my Father the other day about the Amazon pricing on the 15" that I just purchased. No later than when I got back from walking my dog my father tells me... hey come here. What is it I replied, I just saved you one hundred bucks he tells me. My response, really how's that? I contacted Apple and made them an offer they couldn't refuse. I told him ok Godfather sure, put some cotton balls in your cheeks next time. Sure enough though, he wasn't lying. I asked him how he was able to talk to them about my order. He told me that he gave them my phone number.
How's that for a cool pops.
