No, it really did show the higher price a few times. One of the dealers with the higher price was out of Hong Kong. The same thing is going on with 13" Airs on Amazon. I think some dealers are just hiking prices right now due to high demand and some want one bad enough to pay for it.

Yup. Confirmed it twice and I even have it in writing. It's $810 shipped for the i5 4/128 11" MBA. I didn't even ask for it or complained besides the usual "I ordered this but I received this instead" approach. The rep shot himself in the foot for promising that and his manager had to honor it. I got extremely lucky.
I'm not far from Los Angeles, so I'm crossing my fingers. I doubt I'll be seeing anything tomorrow with no tracking information yet.

Still no e-mail with shipping details for my order. My account says shipping "soon" with a 8/1 projected delivery date still. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for sooner, but who knows. I noticed on the Amazon listing it now says 2-5 weeks for new orders of the 4/128 11".
Would be nice if mine moved up to Friday as well. We'll see. When did you originally place your order?

I ordered 128/4 but got the basic model instead. I am sorting out the return with CS to process return and credit.

Woot woot. My 11" 4/128 just shipped from Amazon. Should be here tomorrow. I am crossing my fingers they didn't screw up and send me the 2/64. Again, my order was placed on 7/26 around 8pm PST.
The 1.8GHz chip is regularly a third faster than the 1.6...so I don't think I could go with a base config 11.6" model, plus it tops out at 128GB. The 1.7 in the 13.3" model is a lot closer (at best the 1.8 was like 11% faster, often just 7-8% faster...which I still think is worth $90, but it's not the huge difference of the 1.6).
are these the numbers you want but for the 128? Mine should show up in the next couple of hours.

Note this isn't exactly fresh startup. It is first boot, but on first boot there are updates for iPhoto, GarageBand and iMove which I just installed. I've done nothing else yet. That's space after initial updates.
