Amazon Prime Video App Launches on Apple TV [Update: TV App Supported]

I'll have to check when I get back from work, but if it's available where I live, I might finally be able to pay Amazon for being able to watch the Grand Tour...

The same way I don't have Siri on AppleTV, I can't even use American Siri with my country store for example.

Yea I understood. The TV app is being rolled out. I live in Norway. Hardly a big market and we have it so youll probably have it soon as well.

I'm in the USA and I don't see the app in the App Store on my ATV 4k. Therefore, I checked for updates and there was one available. I just updated a few days ago. Therefore, I thought I was good to go. Even after the update and the reboot I don't see it. Why don't I see it?

Looks to be a new iOS app as well rather than an update. I followed the direct link on my phone and installed from there, was only seeing the older version in the store. As another comment stated, then appeared on my ATV automatically.

Not seeing it here. East coast. Rebooted downloaded app on iOS with auto install on Apple TV installed. Must be a roll out.
 
Doing a search for "Amazon prime" didn't come up with anything on my Apple TV. But I did see the "Amazon Shopping" app, and when I selected that and got the "more information" screen, I then scrolled down and saw the "Prime Video" app under the "More by AMZN Mobile LLC" section. Interestingly, the icon has a blue background and just states "prime video" on it.

I had to back door the download. Goto the Amazon shopping app then scroll down to see other apps from this developer and it’s there. I downloaded, signed in and started watching.

Woo! Installing it now, have to re-watch Mr. Robot S2 before starting S3 (that's currently airing). I mean, it's not like we didn't have a number of other mechanisms to [re]watch, just decided "I'm waiting for Amazon" (which started to feel like we were _not_ doing to watch S2 again ...)

Is this a typo, or is it true?

If it is actually coming to the ATV3, I may just have enough reason to dust it off and hook it up again.

Same here in the Southwest. I installed on iPhone X but still nothing on ATV 4k and nothing in the ATV App Store.

It was an update from the old version on my phone.
