Still a great value to me. The reason? Because I can get stuff on Amazon that's of better quality and cheaper price than a local store - simply because local stores don't carry them.
+1 on all 5 of your other points.

Plus, I found some OEM-spec new headlamps for my mom's 2006 Corolla - with new bulbs - at under $100 shipped for the pair, vs the $420 Toyota lamps or $250 locally for OEM-spec - and she'd have to drive 2-3 hours to get them (she's in rural WA). And the electric/battery mower I shipped to her a couple of weeks ago that no one carries locally - she hit up all of the stores in a 60-mile radius. Then there's the free 1-year UL file storage that Amazon threw in when I bought my cheaper-than-Apple's AC for my Mini Server (and the 1-day-only deal recently to stack a year more @ $5!) and the not-too-shabby streaming radio/playlists Prime includes.

And I picked up one of those unlocked 32GB Fire Phones @$49 when they were ditching them - they stacked a free year of Prime, then I flipped the phone for $50. I got paid a $1 to keep Prime for a year...

Not in Amazon's deal, but a bonus to me was the bottle of nice Scotch mom gave me for the headlamps! :p

Sticking with and working Amazon Prime here...

^^Same here!! I save a fortune with AP and don't even consider dropping it. The savings on prices and shipping alone is worth the price without even including all the tech features. There's nothing I buy I don't check AP prices on and over 90% of the time there's considerable savings.

Still disappointed that Amazon did not make a Apple tv app available.
I thought I would just Airplay Amazon Prime but instead just gave up watching it.

Same here. We hop in periodically using the crappy FireTV stick (which loses network connectivity so often it should have been recalled), but that's maybe once every couple of months. Never rent anything from there that isn't included in Prime, and far too often skip the hassle and pay for it on iTunes again anyway.

Prime delivery service is also missing the two-day mark more often than it is hitting it these days, and Amazon makes it difficult to complain about missed delivery dates unless your delivery is more than a week late (!!!) IMHO, thinking of ditching Prime altogether next year when it comes back up for renewal.

Heh, found this petition about sending a letter to Amazon. I am not one for petitions, but went ahead and signed it anyways (goes to show you how much I want the app). Amazon is the only reason I change inputs on my TV.

Introducing the TV app for Apple TV and all your other Apple products! You can use the app to see all of the shows and movies you are currently watching from all of your streaming services! (EXCEPT AMAZON)

There's NO compelling and business reasons for Amazon Prime to include ATV.
I don't agree. An Apple TV for prime makes paying for prime easier to justify. I have it only because Amazon had a special offer and I new I'd want to watch the Grand Tour. Watching prime over airplay is annoying, I'd be happier with an app.

False. Every purchase I make on the iTunes Store rather than from amazon is a compelling reason.
Regardless of where you make your purchases from Amazon doesn't care. They make hardware that offers more to it's customers than what Apple does and I own an ATV4.

Amazon pays to create original content for it's subscribers. Where's Apple original content or competing product? Amazon Prime sells it's hardware. There's NO need for Amazon to justify Apple's hardware offerings, none. The market is still too fragmented and each company wants to control that space.

Ask yourself, if Apple created original content and had it's own TV internet service would you expect them to offer it to Amazon customers where they can view it on Amazon hardware? No, you would need Apple hardware. Amazon is NO different.

Maybe, but there is Apple Music for Android...

I would expect them to try to make it available on as many platforms as possible to maximize their revenue. Amazon only gets away with it because a lot of people buy prime for the shipping and don't use the streaming part anyway.

False. I pay for Prime and I want to watch it on Apple TV.

False yet again. Apple'a services like iTunes and Apple Music are cross platform. Apple TV hosts other content providers (which are superior to Prime) just like on other devices like Roku. Prime is available on non-Amazon devices like Xbox. You don't know what you're babbling about.

It's really not this difficult. Amazon will be on Apple TV as soon as Apple doesn't have a competing service (movie rental and purchases...itunes) OR Amazon is allowed to be on Apple tv with in app purchases available AND still be able to make money after Apple takes a cut....not much profit in digital ...

Will you cancel Prime if it never appears? If the honest answer is no then the point still stands.

On the other part about iTunes being cross platform, they really aren't, can you name another set top box which you can access iTunes rentals/purchases and Apple Music other than the Apple TV?
